Too expensive. Compare to other brands with same or better comfort.

Culinary Pros *Get These* I've been in the foodservice bis 20+ years. I've laughed at the NEW kids with the clogs on. I've suffered back pain, slipped on the usual floor crap, I've worn out 10 pairs of the usual shoes in one year, never mind stinkfoot. Three words describe the Birki pros: comfort, durabilaty, did I say comfort? I beat the heck out of mine on a daily basis, then wipe them off and start the next day. Yes, I do like them. Sizing is a little large, you do not want a snug fit, you might need to kick them off.

culinaryschool - I am in culinary school, and needed professional shoes for a working enviroment. Because you need to wear socks, the white athletic type, I suggest getting a size or (2) bigger. They will mold to your feet anyway. I normally wear a 37 when buying sandals or clogs, but with the socks and being on my feet sometimes 12 hours in a hot kitchen, I opted for the 39. Great shoe, get them bigger, your back, knees, and feet will thank you!

Nice for Rain!! I bought this shoe to have something to wear in the rain or wet weather. Maybe I could have bought something less expensive, but this shoe provides real foot comfort and is perfect to wear outside on bad days, or kick on when you run to the grocery store. I'm very happy with them.

Perfect! These clogs have the greatest comfort! Their plastic look is great in the rain or snow, and they start plenty of conversations. I highly recommend these clogs! Plus, they're great for casual or professional. My favorite pair of shoes, by far.

The Best Work Shoe. I must say that this is the best work shoe that I've ever owned. As a delivery room nurse, you need a waterproof shoe that is easy to clean. This shoe is practical and most of all, very comfortable.

Chef shoes - This is a hard to find shoe. It’s great for working in a kitchen. It’s not as slip resistant as my last pair, but I do slip less than if I was wearing sneakers. It’s not as comfortable as sneakers, but I will give up comfort for protection. Overall I like these for kitchen work.

Foot movement with support - I was pleased with the speedy delivery of the clogs. These are an excellent shoe for a nurse that spends nearly 12 hours a day on my feet. The clog has good support while allowing my feet to move during stepping. However, I did remove the insoles from on old pair of Birkenstock sandals and placed them in the clogs because they are far superior in support than the ones you sent me.

Not my favorite - I took a previous reviewers advice to fit these shoes to my feet by adding layers of felt to the insert. The shoes were very big. They now stay on my feet but I couldn't really walk a long way in them. I really should have returned them but I needed them right away and I use them mainly for standing and that works okay.

Zappos rules - I didn't buy my Pro Clogs for looks, I bought them for barbecuing and yard work; just wipe them off and you're ready to go to the market or what have you. Zappos' customer service is absolutely second to none. Thank you

The shoes look very comfortable and easy to break in...they are a full size bigger than I expected, but for standing they are great, walking around constantly is another matter until the clog is mastered.

These shoes are very comfortable but they definitely run a full size bigger. I didn’t believe other reviews and ordered my regular size, then ordered one size smaller, which still seemed a little loose on me, so I ordered two sizes smaller. While the shoe that was two sizes smaller fit okay, I could definitely tell they were not right for me because (if you know Birkenstocks) the insert is formed to fit your instep and toes, and the insert was definitely not lining up for me. I sent the two others back and settled on the shoe that is one size smaller and have been happy ever since. Also, I was hoping to wear these shoes without socks, but have found they fit better and are more comfortable with socks. Keep in mind that these are not running shoes; they are for standing in the kitchen or doing other things that are not going to require sprinting around. I ordered the blue ones and some friends made fun and called them Smurf shoes. I took it as a compliment.

After reading all the reviews I finally bought a pair. I'm and professional Chef and I’m on my feet longer that I care to admit. True, buy one full size smaller; but I have to say that these clogs are very wide. I have the clog shuffle thing down but still find that my feet swim in these. They would be great if they had more cushioning. I own another pair of pro-style clogs (not Birkenstocks) and they are heads above these for comfort. They will be my back-up shoes in the kitchen.

Didn't finish the shift - Well these are the best contender to my old sling-back Burkies, but they don't give as much as leather so in about 6 hrs, my couple of hammer toes wouldn't let me wear then another minute. So, they will be great around the house, garden, maybe shopping, but not for a 12 hr shift...

I wear a 6.5 wide, and I tried the two smallest sizes, 36 and 35, and both were huge in width and length. If they made a 34, I don't think that would have even fit correctly.

Great working shoe - I'm a registered nurse and this clog really holds up well to long hours on my feet. Lightweight and easy on and off. It's not very pretty, but comfortable. Would like to see this clog in some prettier colors or even white would be nice.

Unfortunately, I had to return the clogs, as they were about one size too large. I was a bit surprised, as in the past my shoe size has not varied. The only reason I gave the comfort and overall appearance 3 stars was simply because they were too big. However, I am certain had I ordered the right size my evaluation would be different. I am a chef, so they would work perfectly in a professional kitchen.

I have flat foot so I have to buy shoes based on comfort rather than looks, but when I saw these on the internet I thought they looked cute. When I received them I was very disappointed in that they looked like the Dutch shoes. However, I must point out that they did feel comfortable although, very huge for my size. I wear a size 8 and when I tried these on they felt like a 9 1/2. Now Birkenstock shoes are suppose to feel roomier but I would have to wear 3 socks on my feet just to have them not fall of my feet. If your looking for comfort, these are the shoes for you but buy them a size smaller.

Don't waste your money! I bought a pair of Birkenstocks after hearing co workers rave about them. I was very dissappointed that they never felt comfortable, my arches constantly ached, and my feet became very painful and sore. The shoes failed in less than 4 months, and split to the center cork. I took them back to the reputable Birkenstock Dealer where I had purchased them, they then in turn sent the shoes back to the factory, I expected to at least get either a new pair of shoes of my choice from the line or at least get some kind of reimbursement, but their customer service was horrible, even though I had not abused the shoes, and had only worn them for my work as a nurse. I will never again waste my money on anything from Birkenstock, and would recommend that others do the same. Very Very Poor customer service!!!!!!

Let me begin by stating that I have tried so many shoes. I am a registered nurse in an ICU. Since beginning nursing about 2½ years ago, I have developed a raging case of plantar fasciitis. I have had steroid injections into the heels of my feet twice. I have had custom orthotics. I also did physical therapy for a couple of months. This helped a lot, but I cannot find anybody to deep massage my calves for cheaper. And, to top it all off, I broke a metatarsal bone in my foot which amped up the plantar fasciitis. I have tried New Balance, Danskos, Allegria, Hoka running shoes, Crocs, Walking Company Obeos, and a very expensive pair of Finn Comforts. This does not include things I tried and took back. What I have worn to work the most are the Allegrias, but I think they make me oversupinate and cause pain along the outer edge of my foot. I have worn these to work twice, and the plantar fasciitis is already getting better. During the middle of the last few shifts, I have realized, "Hey, my feet feel all right... huh." I used to wake up and hobble down the hallway for my first steps of the day. Now I can wake up and walk - though still with pain at this point, and it will not kill me or almost bring me to tears. Before buying these shoes, I wore (and still wear) Birkenstock Boston soft bed suede around the house. Though comfortable, these were not the best option for work. I went to the local Birkenstock store and tried the Super Birki and the Birki professional. The Super Birki was not for me. I went back and exchanged them for these. To qualify a few things: The salesman put a cushioning insole in these shoes stating it helps them fit better. It really does help. What would otherwise be a bit hard and big fits just right. The particular Birkenstock insole is not sold by Zappos. It is called the foot length air cushion insole. These shoes are a bit clunky, but I do not care! The outer shell is not soft and will not give over time. The fit will be the fit forever. These are different from Super Birkis in that Super Birkis have the traditional cork foot bed, while these have a polyurethane foot bed. This is why I initially got the Super Birkis because I felt so reluctant to stray from the cork. The Super Birkis have a very shallow heel, and I found myself stepping on the outer edge even with an appropriate size. These have a very deep heel and your foot is mostly safe from any workplace hazards or fluids - but they are not winning any fashion awards for sure. Also, the Super Birkis have a slicker bottom while the Professionals have more grip. I have wide feet. I have never been a heel-wearer or girly shoe wearer. I have average arches. I have surgical screws in my metatarsal bone. I am not a sweaty person. These shoes do not feel excessively warm. When I sit down, I occasionally slip my foot out and never noticed excessive moisture. I wear a 41 in Bostons, and I got a 41 (with insoles) in Birki Professionals. Good luck on your quest for comfort.

What a wonderful find. I have two pair: one for walking the dog (raspberry) and the other for work (black). Easy to slip on. They feel good on your feet, especially if you are on your feet a lot during the day. The shoe overall is much more rigid than Crocs. Super easy clean up. Just what I was looking for. This shoe is a good alternative to Dansko/Sanita clogs if you are looking for variety.

I tried them on after a half day at work on my feet and they felt incredible, the pain was somehow absorbed into the footbed. The only problem was that I inadvertently ordered Reg Width instead of Narrow, darn! Would love it in real leather.

Attractive? No, but I got them for work because I stand all day. I followed other reviewers' recommendations and ordered down. The large fit takes a little getting used to but they are awesome. I had a little knee/hip pain the first day that I am chalking up to my body getting used to being properly aligned. The best part of all is I woke up the next morning with no back pain. I've been suffering with chronic back pain for over a decade. I will be buying more of this brand.
