Bought the Shoe Balsam after reading the reviews. It lives up to what I was expecting. I have used it on my Keens, Birkenstocks and my Dr. Martens. It applies quickly and evenly without making the leather look over glossy like overdressed car tires. I was skeptical, but the balsam does a great job of repelling water spots and the muck from parking lots and city streets. I work in sales and spend most of the day running in and out of offices and driving all over the DC metro area. My shoes take a beating, but look tip-top. Considering that only a small amount is needed to get the desired results, the balsam is a bargain. It's the best shoe dressing that you haven't tried yet. Get some!

Works "wonders" on leather goods. Purchased the balsam for Dr. Martens "2216" soft greasy work shoes. They are not waterproof so the balsam is a welcoming protector. Good stuff.

Wonderful product. I just bought two pairs of Doc Martens and got caught in some nasty weather with one pair. A tiny swipe of the sponge and my shoes looked like they came out of the box. I also tried it on my 4-year-old Frye boots and the product gave new life to a pretty beat up pair of boots. So I put it on all my old shoes and boots and got great results. I even tried it on my leather bags. It seems to make the scuff marks much less visible, and gives whatever item I've used it on a nice sheen. I will definitely purchase more when it runs out, and highly recommend it.

I bought this to care for my Dr. Martens I also purchased from Zappos. Great stuff! I use it on my non-Dr Marten shoes and works just as well. Follow the directions on can and shoes shine up wonderfully.

I love this stuff. I use it on all my leather boots and shoes (excluding suede and nubuck). A can goes a long way, even though I purchased three :) The balsam doesn't darken my lighter-shaded leather much, if at all, depending on the shoe. Very happy.

This is one of the best leather shoe conditioners and protectors I have used. I use it on new shoes and boots to give them moisture protection (we have a lot of humidity). It also brings old, worn leather back to life.

This is an amazing product. I was getting ready to throw out my favorite 8 year old black leather Mary Janes (Ecco) because they have white top stitching, and using black shoe polish on them didn't make sense. They were looking sad and tired but still had a lot of life left in them. I used a little bit of this product and am now wearing my shoes again! The balsam didn't change the integrity of the top stitching... it just made the leather look brand new. I've now "polished" all my leather shoes. Will order this balsam again!

This stuff is amazing. I bought some in hopes to revive a pair of Docs I have had since the 80's. Those boots have been through just about anything you can imagine and still look presentable after using this. It also helps soften the leather on new ones.

Works really well at cleaning the salt out of the leather and keeps it looking like new. It doesn't shine the leather. It comes with a sponge in the can and it only takes a little bit of the balsam to bring back the original black color. It also removed some light scuffs. I use on my Salford Work Slip On shoe.

By far, some of the best leather dressing I have ever used. Just wash your hands after applying to whatever you wish to protect. The sponge applicator that comes with this gets quite full of the product. But a minor inconvenience as this stuff really works. Waterproofing, reconditioning, and just general leather care - you won't be disappointed.

This stuff is amazing. Works with any color shoe; returning them to almost brand new. Great deal.

This stuff works great! It brought back the color on a grey pair of boots that I have had trouble finding a polish match for. The boots had a nice weathered detail to them that I was afraid would go away with a colored polish. This Balsam did the trick. It even helped lessen the scratches on the back of the heel from driving and chair rails etc. The little sponge is separated by an internal cap, good packaging to keep at home...the top would come off easily if traveling. I will buy this again and maybe before I need to for fear that Zappos will stop carrying it

"Wonder" full stuff. I applied this to the new Doc boots I got before Christmas and after several snow days and tons of salt and much the boots look as new as the day I got them. I now apply this balsam to all my leather shoes to keep them looking good. Great stuff, I've already used this for two pairs of Doc Boots and several dress shoes. There is still plenty left in the can to last me many more applications. Well worth the money.

This shoe balsam is amazing. My tired faded leather is like new again. Shoe polish never worked like this! I used it on my brown leather Lucchese boots and my navy leather Coach purse, both very expensive items. I am sorry that it took me so long to find ths incredible product.

High quality; long lasting. I bought it for my husband's favorite golf shoes. I actually used it yesterday to shine up my husband's leather recliner in a pinch. Worked great and only used a very small fraction of the jar on the recliner. So you can imagine how long it lasts, and how well it looks on leather shoes.

Small can, but goes a long way! This stuff makes my doc's look brand new, and keeps water and snow out. Great product!

Doc Martins wonder balm is lovely. It is fragrance free which is great, because I have allergies. It goes on smoothly and does not leave any residue so it won't smudge. It can be used on any leather shoes KR boots, just not on suede leather. I will purchase 2 more cans, also 2 more pairs of Doc Martins. Keep up the good work Zappos! I have you on speed dial (actually you are on my cell phone and tablet...lol) so I can order on the go. I hope my review is helpful, I can really recommend this product.

Great for leather boots! It will darken the color, but for the better in my opinion. Tried it on an old pair 15+ years old and they look almost new!! Very cool product!

Dr. Martens waterproofs leather boots and shoes without discoloring the leather. It is highly recommended!

Impressive! "Healed" my scuffed & scarred steel-toe Doc Martens & brought them to like-new condition! Somewhere else on the web I read Wonder Balsam was "good for all our shoes." FYI, note that is not the case. The D.M. company responded to my e-mail & stated not to use this product on "nubuck." This leather has the same properties as a suede material and we would not advise putting Wonder Balsam on them. This should only be cleaned and then brushed.

This shoe balsam is a must for anyone who has Dr. Martens boots or shoes. It cleans and conditions the leather and makes it better than new. I highly recommend this product. Don't wait to buy this balsam, show your boots that you care about them!

Great product, been using it for a couple months on my Doc Martens as well as some other leather shoes. It allows you to keep your leather shoes in tip-top shape very easily. I thought I had ruined a pair of shoes and this just brought them right back to life. Perfect for less formal shoes where you don't want a shine anyway.

I use this product on everything but my Rolex watch. I have several leather wallets and belts that were over ten years old and this Wonder Balsam made them shine like new again. I give my Dr. Marten shoes a coat right out of the box and I receive many compliments on the beautiful shine of my shoes. Dr. Martens are the only brand of shoes I will wear. A+ for such a great treatment product for leather products.

Excellent product; simple and effective. What I generally do is clean the shoe/boot and leave just a little bit of moisture on the surface. Then apply the wax and rub it into the leather a bit. Let it dry for a few hours and then buff it briefly to remove the excess and bring it to a very natural level of polish; nothing too shiny. It may be possible to get a high level of shine with this but I've personally never done it. It tends to last me about a week in snow/salt in winter but does a great job of protecting my leather boots and shoes so they are easier to clean each time!
