After reading a lot of reviews of Dr. Martens citing the horrible break-in period, the blisters, the sores, the rubs, and the bruises, I figured that anything I could do to move the process along was a good thing and tossed a tub of Wonder Balsam in with my order. I don't know if it was tough feet or liberal application of Wonder Balsam, but I didn't experience ANY pain or injuries from my new boots, which went from stiff to comfy in about two weeks with liberal applications of Wonder Balsam. It also provided great waterproofing for our spring snowmelt.

This stuff is great, like moisturizing lotion for your shoes. We use it on our winter boots that can get dried out and cracked, but I might start using it on all our heavy-duty shoes instead of shoe polish. It smells great, too, not toxic. Love it!

I bought this to fix some boots that I scuffed the first week I had them. My boots aren’t Dr. Martens. Just plain black leather boots. This worked like a charm. It covered the marks on my shoes and while they don’t look brand new, you can’t see white marks anymore. I would definitely recommend this product. It’s a bargain!

Been buying this for 6 years. It goes a long way as you do not need to use very much. My husband is a cook and his shoes get nasty. This balsam stuff makes them look like new and I think it makes his shoes last longer too.

Wonder Balsam is amazing! It goes on easily with the enclosed applicator and makes all my shoes look great. I was also able to make an old Coach bag look new again by applying this polish to it.

This is a great product. I bought a pair of Red Wings, Brown/Red, I got them scuffed up a lot the first two weeks I had them. I got this product, and they looked like new again. This works perfect on these boots. Thanks, Zappos for the great products you have.

Wonder balsam, indeed! I've used it on everything from my Hobo International bag to some cheap leather ballet flats I got at a discount outlet. It works like magic! It did change the color of my leather bag a bit. Not a substantial change, but just made the cognac color a bit richer and deeper. It also revitalized and rehabbed my cheap leather ballet flats! Scuffs practically disappeared, and they look like new! I'll be buying another one of these as soon as mine runs out.

Amazing product! I used it on a pair of leather boots and a leather jacket, which both look new now! Which is impressive since the jacket is from the \'70s!

This is wonderful stuff to keep your shoes looking like new. It gets rid of a lot of those bothersome wrinkles and creases that shoes develop over time. Great product!

Bought this product for my daughter's tall riding boot! Perfect for cleaning them, leaves them beautifully clean and does not leave black polish marks on her saddle pad her horse! Also worked well for her western boots, a lot easier to use than polish too!

This Dr. Martens stuff really works well.

Wonder Balsam - This is a great product. I use it about once every 6 months to cover scratches on my shoes. It works great on all types and brands of shoes and doesn’t change the color of the leather.

This stuff is awesome - After reading the tons of great reviews on this stuff, I decided to give it a try. My Doc Martens 8053's are about 3½ years old and had a good amount of scratches on the toe area. As usual, I got the balsam within one day (ordered Tuesday afternoon, had the stuff Wednesday when I got home from work). I slapped some of this balsam on my shoes and they're good as new now. This stuff kinda looks like Vaseline.

Awesome - This stuff, simply put, is awesome. They will make your worn boots look like new again. I used some on my Clark Escalades that I’ve worn for a few months without doing any maintenance on. The end result was them looking like new again. This really is a wonder balsam. Must Buy!

Dr. Marten Wonder Shoe Balsam - Easy to apply and works great on Dr. Marten shoes. I use my fingers to work it into the leather and use a soft cloth to remove the excess. I would wait a day or 2 before wearing the shoes after the treatment so the balsam doesn’t stain your jeans or pants.

This balm is the bomb - This little container is a money saver - I keep it in my desk at work and whenever my shoes are looking dull, if rub a little balsam on it and they look like I just had them polished. No need to pay for a shoe shine with this stuff.

A must have for your worn Martens. I have a pair of 5 year old Martens. I hardly wear them due to the dull texture of the leather upper. But after applying the Shoe Balsam, the pair is back on the rotation! Oh what a difference! Looks new again.

Great Stuff. I own 3 pairs of Docs and I just applied Wonder Balsam to my 6 year old pair and they look fantastic! This is great stuff. You won't be disappointed!

Wonder Balsam is the perfect name. The first thing I used this for was a very comfortable and worn in pair of 2 year old doc martens. I was worried at first, I didn't want them to be shiny, just to look a little newer, and it did just that!!

This Product is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

distorts color of boot good stuff in terms of protection, but i found it distorted the color as i used it more & more. It also attracts dust & dirt a lot more & if you get it on the yellow stitching on the sole....it gets that really ugly-dirty very fast

This stuff is AMAZING! Have a pair of 12-year old Dr. Marten brown leather boots. They were faded and dry and dirty. I've tried other products but they just didn't work well. This balm brought them back to their original deep honey color and the leather is so soft and supple. I wish I could attach before and after photos because the transformation was incredible. This cost for a little jar of fabulous!
