Perfect fit, stylish. Not as great as the made in England docs of the past, but still like them

I wear a women's 8.5 and these women's 9 fit the way a 9.5 or 10 would fit. They are enormous.

These were not a men’s 12, nor were they smooth leather. I don’t know what they were, but they were not the shoes I purchased, and they were returned.

I have enjoyed Dr Maartens for years. I have never worn high tops before but love the look. On my right foot, the fit is perfect, but on the left, the tongue hits my shin, and it's not comfortable. I have found that I just have to refrain from tying the left shoe too tight. I think it will be ok. Love the look and of course, the durability and quality are outstanding.

True to size & timeless style.

What can you say, the tried and true shoes Dr.Martens never dissapoint. The shoes are notoriously widely built, but they are ture to size will just look bulky on you but inside there are not issues with feel. Definitely need to break in, do not give up on them after a couple weeks of blisters it goes away i promise. These shoes are meant to last years, they are very sturdy and most even suggest beating them with hammer, etc before wearing cause they are stiff AT FIRST not forever. This style is pretty, very matte, has a kind of plastic look to them. I love the vibrant mint. Shoes laces are a little hard to tie up than previous pairs, not sure if it is cause they are still new but when you pull them tight they don't move. Otherwise, great pair of shoes that go with a lot of funky outfits.

I returned. These were clearly fakes. Zappos is owned by amazon, which I didn’t know at the time of order. I know amazon sells counterfeit products. The pair I received felt like cardboard covered in leather. After returning, I ordered from dr martens. Big difference. Now I have real leather boots, that fit. But, do research amazon/Zappos sell fakes and they don’t care.

The shoes looked great however the fit was too big. I’m a UK 5 and US 7. I will probably need to get a size UK 4 for the best fit and overall appearance. They looked a bit too big as well. I’ll be ordering them in a size 4 and hoping I’ll be satisfied!

This is the perfect size I wanted and the boot smooth too!!!!!! I did wanted the blue colored ones, but this perfect closer to the color. Now the people me coming and notice my boots!!!!

The Dr. Martens 1460 boots were a pair of boots I've wanted for the past 10 months or so. I've read some disconcerting things about their production, and the deterioration in quality. I'm happy to report that this hasn't been the case...yet, and I hope it doesn't ever will be. I have no doubts there are some bad apples out there, which is unfortunate, but I hope my pair stands the test of time otherwise I will report back. Zappos delivered my purchase next day, which was awesome. I've since taken the time to start the break in process little by little. While comfortable, I do think that I will in time, get some gel inserts to further maximize this. They're not uncomfortable, by any means, but I suspect the default comfort will only last so long. But, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, $15 gel inserts will turn these boots into something that's already comfortable, into something even more sensational. The look offered by the boots is just what I'm looking for. I'm happy with the purchase overall. I still think this offers a certain style, certain people look for, and if you're among those, then you (should) get that.

Honestly, I wanted to like them. My daughter has a pair (different style) that she loves. But these were so hard and stiff going onto my feet and the amount of time and probable discomfort to get them to be broken in just didn't seem worth the effort. I had a similar feeling about some Blundstone's I bought--still not broken in after 5 years. Anyway, I decided on a pair of Borns which went on easily and didn't need to be broken in at all. Felt great from day one.

Got these as a gift for my boyfriend. He loves them! Says he's getting lots of compliments on them at work. They run a little large on him, but thick socks and insoles do the trick. They take a little time to break in, and they do crease. This leather is much stiffer than the vegan material.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes ever! They are so stiff and they left bruise on my shin.

Bought for my son--seems like sizing was true to size for him (he's a men's 12 and that's what we purchased). Leather is really nice--softer than the original Docs--basically no break-in time. Style is awesome and exactly what we expected. Highly recommended!

These in particular are AMAZING, I wear a size 8, need lots of arch support so when I wore these to work for a full 8hr shift I was super happy when I finished because my feet weren't in pain! I really liked these, they're not the shinny ones which I like and they fit amazingly!

I own three pairs of 1460s, and have been wearing my first pair for 7 years now (and they still feel good as new). Doc Martens never fails to exceed expectations in regard to quality, style, and comfort. This year, I decided to gift a pair to a close friend of mine. They ended up fitting perfectly and were just as pictured, and the look on his face when opening them was priceless! Thank you Zappos for a great deal on my fave type of shoe!

I bought these boots back in 2007 and remember them being the most comfy boots I had owned. I hated having to toss them 3yrs later due to work specific contamination. Fast forward to 2019 and I decided to give them another try. Not the same boots anymore. **Note that my previous pair was not made in England either** Each boot has noticeable assembly differences which has caused one boot to fit tighter around the center of my foot compared to the other. I know these boots take a decent amount of time to break in, but I doubt that will change how these feel. I currently also own a pair of Danner Moc toe boots and it looks like these will continue to be my go to boots until I wear them out. Too bad it took a couple days of wear before I got the true feel for these Dr. Martens because now I can not return them.

Classic look great pit boot

They felt a little loser than the last pair I owned which were the same size. Thicker socks did the trick. The finish is nice, not shiny and they are very comfortable right out of the box.

These were too large, so it was difficult to assess the overall fit and arch support. I’ve ordered 1 size down now, so hoping they won’t be too narrow!
