Just overall uncomfortable, especially in my calves. I felt like they were angled forward and when I stood straight they dug into the back of my leg.

Fit & Comfort— I have 1460w in size 8 Napa leather. I got these in size 7 and they fit wonderful. The leather on these is very stiff/hard compared to my Napa leather ones. But not in a bad way, just different. I’m typically a size 7.5 (8 sometimes) and decided to get these in 7 because they are unisex. And my 1460w are a touch too big (unless I wear thick socks). They are roomy enough to allow my feet to swell up and not be uncomfortable. They felt like a solid 7.5 to me. Style & Look— I’m obsessed! The fuchsia is bright and just absolutely fabulous! The toe is more narrow and less rounded when compared to my 1460w, which surprised me. The look/feel of the leather reminds me of rain boots, minus the high glossy shine. Almost plastic-y. Overall— Again I’m OBSESSED! I want these in every color ever. Quality is top notch so they last forever! And are so iconic and timeless they will always be in style.

Nothing wrong with the shoe. Great style, color, quality. It was just not as comfortable as I had hoped.

They're smooth leather 1460 Docs...ergo, they're the perfect shoe on all levels!!

These are my second pair of 1460s, and i had to write a review. These are more amazing than my first pair. Both the inner and outer soles are extremely comfortable and bouncy, which makes breaking the boots in not as painful. Other than that, as usual, they at stunning boots!

Really stiff. Didn’t like the look.

Looked really really big on my feet. This is a BIG boot. The part around my calf was very stiff and uncomfortable

I ended up sending these back. I was very disappointed in the leather. It felt cheap and was stamped as Made in China.

I am returning these because they are made in China, and also the leather feel very plastic. Disappointed.

Wore them for 2 hours a day around the house for about 5 days to break them in. Worked like a charm! Now I wear them comfortably. Runs slightly large but with the right socks they fit perfectly.

These are definitely more narrow than previous but maybe they will loosen up

I’ve never really liked Doc Martens but this boot in particular stood out to me. As far as boots go $150 is pretty cheap and for the comfort you’re gonna get out of these it’s not a bad deal.

Great boot but runs big!

They definitely run very large. I ordered a full size smaller than my normal size and I probably could have gone 1.5 sizes smaller. They're comfy, well-made, and cute.

When I took these out of the box, I was so happy with them. They look great! Exactly what I wanted. They fit great BUT, the leather around the top is really hard and stiff so I found them to be too uncomfortable to wear. I had to send them back. I am ordering the Pascal Virginia and hoping they are as cute but more comfortable.

The boots were too stiff to even get my foot in without fully unlacing the laces. Super cute but I don't have the patience.

I am a lifelong doc fan and have many pairs. This is my first that ran larger than expected. Exchanged for a size down and fits perfectly. Could not be happier with the purchase and the ease of using Zappos.

Classic style. These are my daughter's favorite boots. They lick @$$

The fit and size were perfect. Love the look and the comfort. These are my first Dr. Marten's and I could not be more satisfied.

Fit was good but would have been better if half sizes available; was still fine and comfortable with a thick sock.

While the look, fit, and comfort of the boot are great, the quality of materials is sub par at best. I’ve had terrible experiences with 2 pairs of boots, both Cherry Red Smooth. The leather creases, cracks, and begins to come apart after a period of a few months (5-6mo). I’ve tried with and without Doc’s recommended Wonder Balsam and the experience is identical. I’d understand this if I put them through tough work, but I’m barely putting wear on the soles before they give out. The leather used just does not last like the older British made boots. It feels plasticky and paper thin in high stress areas. Too bad the made in England boots aren’t available in the same color scheme.

Size 11. I live in VietNam and I can buy 'backdoor' (stolen) from workers at the factory here in VietNam, not rejects but boxed ready for retail sale. Even at deep 'discounts", I would never buy a Doc Martens again as these quality is poor, the leather sub-standard. In fact I used industrial super-glue to reinforce the heels. I noticed my 'sales contact' didn't wear Doc Martens, either. Time to find a quality alternative.
