Pardon the length, but Zappos was nice enough to ship me a bunch of shoes so I'm posting the review of all 6 of them here for you. I'm returning most of them, which I hate to do, but hopefully this bulk review will be of help to you. By the way, I'm a middle-aged male, size 14 5E feet with collapsing arches so I need real arch support. Zappos you need to post a real shoe buying guide to save you and your customers unnecessary shipping costs! General shoe buying pointers: 1. Pay attention to shoes. The wrong shoes can cause all sorts of joint pain. My knee inners were hurting like crazy got the correct shoes, knee pain went away. 2. Know whether or not you have high arches or, like me, flat feet, collapsing arches, overpronation, etc before you buy. It has been my and my podiatrist's experience that there are no shoes out there with sufficient arch support as-is. I have lately been using Montrail inserts with great success. 3. Each size of a particular shoe model will have only one sole for all widths in that size due to cost reasons. Wider sizes will have more leather/cloth upper material, thus it's normal to bulge on the sides. That said, some soles are narrower than others. 4. Some shoes will have more curve than others. If your feet don't curve much, don't buy shoes that do. You can tell by looking at the bottom in the pictures. 5. There is no standardization in lasts (the shoe molds they use when designing/making shoes). Certain brands tend to run a certain way and will always be that way. Disclosure: Brooks Addiction Walkers in 14-4E are my go-to shoe. I love them. Been buying them now for almost 5 years. Roomy, great for wide flat feet, plenty of cushioning, and they don t look awful. From the factory their arch support is as good as I have found, though I have to replace the original insoles with Montrails as they wear. As with any shoe, throw them away when they get old and get new ones. Your joints will thank you. Here goes: Saucony Guide 6, size 14-6E. Slightly tight on 14, barely a 4E, no way it's a 6E. Minimal arch support; Montrails helped out quite a bit. I would have kept these shoes had they actually fit like a 6E should fit. They were as wide as a Brooks Addiction 11 Walker 14-4E, so they lose in favor of the Addiction Walkers. The shoes with the yellow are highlighter yellow - just be aware of that. Hush Puppies Mall Walker 14-5E. Zero arch support, narrow in the toe box, and still a bit narrow even at 5E. Felt more like a 4E. I really tried to like these shoes - they looked nice. But they clogged as I walked, and don't expect any lateral grip from the tread that looks like it got cut by the guy who does all the Japanese gravel gardens (no disrespect, Mr. gravel garden man!). New Balance MW847 14-6E: Nice length, Nice width, but not as much of a roll bar as the NB 840v2, so even with Montrail inserts I tended to roll inward. Overall a nice shoe but I needed more rollbar. New Balance MW840v2 14-4E: Nice length, nice width. Lots of roll bar, and as much overall sole cushion as a Brooks Addiction Walker so that was nice. Definitely need inserts on these as they're board flat inside. Adding Montrail inserts made these a keeper. Brooks Addiction 11 14-4E. Length good. Width typical of Brooks 4E (which is probably correct). Very minimal arch support. I put some Montrails in and they were fine. Unlike the Addiction Walker, these grip your feet quite snugly but were not constrictive (this is probably pretty subjective). The blue-tinged shoes have some bright blue in them which is a little more boy racer than I need but it's not a killer. Propet Stability Walker 14-5E. Length was good, but the whole shoe is ramped forward so it feels like you're stepping into a pothole every step you take. Toe box is tight. No way this is a 5E. Tighter than a Brooks 4E. Ironically these shoes look like they should have a lot of arch support, but the sole gets very short up front. If you're coming from high heels, these will feel great, but for a flat-footed man like myself, no way Josie.

I purchased this shoe for my Dad before we left for Disney World. We wanted to make sure that he had a shoe that was wide enough and comfortable for all the walking we would be doing. Dad has a very wide foot and has had trouble finding a shoe that would be comfortable. The shoe was plenty wide enough. Dad made several comments that he had never had a shoe that was this comfortable width wise. His only complaint is that the cushion on the heels is minimal and at times feels like he gets no support on the heels. I would consider buying him another pair and just make sure that he had a heel insert.

This is the 5th pair of Stability Walkers I have enjoyed. I am a Type 2 diabetic and have suffered from neuropathy in my toes. This shoe gives me the room and stability to allow me to walk a couple of miles a day without pain. One thing you should do is buy an extra 40" pair of laces. The metal lace holders eat through the original laces in about 90 days.

Propet's Walker is good value - Good shoe. Wide box. Needs additional support for ball of foot. Recommend good inserts (always).

Great comfort for little dough! I'm on my feet all night at work and on a concrete floor, no less. I took a chance on the Propet Stability Walker and I have to say my feet are glad I did. It has good arch support which is necessary for my plantar fasciitis and is a really comfortable shoe. It has a nice basic sneaker look, which I prefer to a more flamboyant one. All in all, it's a great deal for the money.

Black Propét - Good shoe, but heel feels bigger this time around, maybe my foot shrunk. Laces are too cheap, but for the price a good value for work house, general use.

I have a foot deformity and this is one of the few shoes that I am able to get broken in so that it becomes relatively comfortable.

Ouch! You're Killing Me! I'm hoping that there is a long break in period for this shoe. I've only worn it for about two weeks and the only way I can wear it comfortably is to loosen the shoe strings, and not tie the shoe all the way up. I was starting to get blisters against my small toe.

nearly perfect - I would give a 5, but nothing in life is perfect...I wear a size 15, hard to find anywhere..but right here at Zappos, I always find something, and these new sneakers are great...the size had the feel I expected, and my feet feel good working and walking in them..I prefer higher top sneakers, but these do just fine the way they are!! I encourage others to get them!!

Comfort - I have been buying Propet shoes from Zappos for some time now and I really enjoy the comfort they give me. I have short wide feet that are hard to find shoes for and Zappos and Propet offer quality shoes and comfortable shoes. I'm glad they're on-line. I’ve even purchased some for my father who has a hard time finding shoes and he loves them.

Very comfortable shoe but the stays for the laces broke within a month. And for that reason only, I would not purchase again.

I was very disappointed that the shoes were obviously tried on before and returned. The packing material was all on the bottom of the box,; the shoes did not contain the material inside the shoe to keep its shape; and the laces were loose. One shoe also had a mark on it which may not come off. No one bothered to repack the shoes properly. When I returned my first pair because they were not wide enough, I took the time to pack them the way I received them. The shoes themselves look and feel excellent, so I'm probably not going to return them. Just very dissappointed with Zappos/Amazon.

This shoe in wide E(W) was narrower than the standard width Nike that I was trying to replace. I couldn't make sense of the exchange process to a wider width the customer service person was trying to explain (how hard can it be?) so I gave up and just returned the original pair.

I also ordered s 1ize 10 1/2 M(D) of the same shoe. This 10 1/2 W(E) was narrower that the M(D). This is the first time I have had a problem with Propet. What has happened to their quality control?

I usually wear a 10 wide. The 10 wide I received was too narrow at the toes (not good for neuroma), the 10 triple wide was too lose at the heel and the 10.5 wide was too long.

Surprisingly, this Propet shoe is narrower that expected. I bought a Drew 12 4E which fits perfectly, so will be returning this 12 5E Propet for a refund.

Bought these from a different company and found them very painful. They are wide enough around the toe area but not around the middle of the foot, around where the arch is.

Not a bad shoe for the price. Because my feet are wide and short, I almost always have to buy shoes that are a little bit long for my feet in order for the width of my feet to be comfortable even with the widest size. This is the widest size offered in this shoe and it is a little tight in the front and loose in the back. That is not a criticism as this is the case most of the time with my funny feet. Other than that, this shoe is very comfortable and I am sure it works for most people that don't have the wide feet problem. I like the looks and the padding is very adequate for walking long distances, but I would not buy another pair because of the stated problem. I have found some shoes that fit okay, and it is usually New Balance. So from now on I will stick to NB.

Propet Stability Walker - When I received the shoe, stitching was coming out of the tongue. Zappos replaced the shoes so quickly and without hassle it was amazing. They really do know how to take care of their customers. Otherwise the overall satisfaction of the shoe was just so-so.

Stiffer Than Expected - Although reviews of this shoe indicate that they are super comfortable right out of the box, I found that not so. They tended to bind to the point of pinching and irritating in the middle of the instep -- or at about the middle lace hole. This is a problem with many shoes -- especially those of lower quality. The only solution is to wear them and grin and bear it until they are "broken in." Basically, the shoe is stiff. I've walked about 5 miles in them and they have softened a little, but I would still consider them too stiff. Likely they will soften further with continued wearing.

Large Size - I was overjoyed to see a walking shoe in my size (15 narrow)! The reviews said that it was a light shoe that felt good on the feet. Well in my size it was a heavy, clunky-looking shoe that was not the most comfortable shoe of its kind that I own.

I ordered these in a 10.5 "5E" width. My foot, measured on the traditional, sliding metal measuring tool in a shoestore, is a 10.5 3E. These were AT LEAST a half size too short, and probably only really a 2E at best. If you're going to offer an ostensibly "5E" width, maybe think about the toe box shape. Being "5E" wide for only a tiny bit of the length of the toe box isn't particularly helpful.
