Comfortable NARROW slip-on - The Sebago Schooner is wonderful, if only for the fact that it is made in an 8 narrow. This is virtually unheard of in any other casual shoe line. The fit and comfort is excellent, including in the heel. The construction is very good, making use of what appears to be high quality leather, solid stitching and durable sole material. The finish details also are excellent. The soles present a very refined profile making these shoes somewhat dressier looking than models with heavier soles.

Excellent Choice - Shopping on line can be a dicey experience. Not so with this shoe. I ordered what appeared to be an attractive shoe in my exact size. When received, they more that met my expectations.

Sizing - Other than being a little off in sizing (I wear a 10.5, had to return for a 10), the Sebago is a very fine casual shoe. I immediately bought another pair.

Rich's Sebagos - One of the nicest, best fitting casuals that I've owned. A real quality shoe at a reasonable price.

One tough shoe - This is the second pair of Sebago schooners I have owned. The first pair I purchased from a department store and wore under all conditions for about 3 years. They're still my favorite work shoe. I bought my second pair from Zappos and found they fit perfectly. The leather on these shoes is almost indestructible. I've soaked them in salt water, worn them in mud and snow and just plain dirt and with a damp cloth and a little leather dressing they come out good as new. A great shoe at a fair price.

Mine arrived today. Slipped them on and was pleasently surprised as to how great they felt on. Will definitely be ordering more Sebago's.

March 30, 2003 - I'm currently on my third pair of Sabago Schooners. These shoes are the most comfortable shoe I've ever purchased. They're very durable and always look good.

I purchased these shoes to replace a pair Sebagos with too much mileage on them. These shoes are well made and are very comfortable.

I like the shoe so much I want to buyanother pair I bought a pair of Docksiders that I am sure are in the Schooner range in Bahrain in November 1999. I have worn them absolutely continuously since then - I estimate at least 350 days a year and I have visited this website to try to buy another pair. At this stage I am being frustrated because I cannot find a pair that are black and brown with a black sole just the same as my current shoes. Yes, I like them that much that I have to have exactly the same again! Bill Marshall

Maybe try another model. I realise the Schooner may not suit all.

The design and construction quality is excellent, but like so many shoes that are made in Asia, the leather is B quality, although these are better than most.

Great looking shoe. A little stiffer than I imagined out of the box, but pretty sure it will soften up with wear. One of the name tags on the side of one shoe is sewn on a little goofy which makes me think these might be seconds, but not a huge deal. Good price.

I am so happy with Zappos and the purchase of these shoes for my husband back on December 15, 2009. There was such a great selection of size 16 shoes through this company. I am sure we will be long-term customers. My husband is mostly happy with the shoes themselves. He says that they are a little big and a little squeaky, but that they are okay. They look like they are very well made and will last quite a long time. The most surprising aspect of our shopping experience was that I ordered the shoes one day, and they appeared on my doorstep the very next day! Thank you, Zappos!

Schooners - I like the shoes very much. I wish Sebago and all other shoe makers would return to shortening the area of the toe to the ties. All makers have lengthened this area and I hate the look and the feel. I suppose it's because I have a high arch. I love the color of these shoes.

Sebago Style - I haven't worn this very long but was impressed with the look, feel and comfort. I have been a long time buyer of Sperry Topsiders and found they wear for years and years. I am excited to experience the same expectation from this classic. Will update in a year or so, you can coun on it.

Longer than size - The Sebago Schooner are comfortable even on the first day although they are longer than the size. I usually use 8 extrawide and I would have been better off with a 7.5 extrawide.

Glad for Narrow Widths - As a person with a narrow foot (B), I am happy to find a company that makes casual shoes in narrow widths. I have had a lot of trouble finding casual shoes in anything other that the standard "D" width. I like the feel of the Schooner and its looks. I have not had it long enough to know how it will wear and hold up.

I really liked the look, but I could not find a size that fit me. I normally wear a 9½ size. The 9½ size slipped on and off as I walked, but the 9 was too tight. Additionally, I found that the sole did not offer much comfort or support. These were my first boat shoes, so it could be that I am not accustomed to the size/fit.

My boyfriend and I both purchased a pair. I have a narrow foot, he has a wide foot; fit was good both pairs. Appearance good. We wore them around doing our daily activities and they were comfortable. Unfortunately when we took them on a cruise and wore them all day, we both developed severe blisters on the side of our ankles. Neither of us have had this occur with any boat shoes we purchased in the past.

Rubs my ankle - The side rubs my ankle to the point it's not real comfortable. Hope it changes with wear.

- I've had these shoes for 9 months and they are already shot. The first thing to go was the outside color. It's not like a standard shoe polish, it peels off like a plastic coating and the color underneath is much lighter. This left the shoes looking spotty. Re-polishing doesn't help, because the underlying leather doesn't take the color the same way. Now the side seam is busted at the front. Normally I wear out soles first but the uppers went first on these.
