The very first time I wore the shoe I took a walk around the block (~0.5mi.) to see how I liked it. Both soles cracked in half horizontally. I was astonished, but I thought maybe the hot pavement was too much for them and decided I would use them as slippers. Large chunks disintegrated off the soles, and soon after the whole sole fell off. (Yes, I could put a new sole on, these were obviously defective) But, perhaps, I might recommend going with a leather soled shoe to begin with.

I wore and loved these shoes for over 20 years but the pairs I bought in the last year are very differently sized - far narrower (I wear a 3E) and less high (no room inside anymore for an arch support insert). This is a great loss since I loved these shoes but they no longer fit. I don't think a larger size would solve the problem since I am already at maximum width and it's way too narrow.

I have been buying Florsheim shoes for decades. All of a sudden your brown and black color shoes of this style have been coming in undersized. I wear a 10.5 EEE and have had to return 5 pairs of shoes due to the shoes visibly being too short. It may come down to your supplier in India. If the shoe model # information printed on the inside of the shoe is spaced out, these shoes are undersized. If the model information is printed closer with no spacing in between characters, these shoes are made properly. If you are going to outsource manufacturing offshore, you should not rely on their Quality Control. You obviously have a problem!

I had to discard two pairs of These shoes. The soles and heels seemed to melt from normal household heat.

Very poor quality for the price of the shoes.

I loved the shoe but was totally disappointed and had to return . My shoe was too tight although it was supposed to be a D width which normally would be more than enough . Had they been a little wider I would have bought 2 pair or at least one in each color.If you ever offer that shoe in one size wider let me know.

I returned them because the elastic band is no longer as stretchable as it was in a pair of Rivas that I already have (in a different color). Therefore, they are no longer a true wide width as the shorter elastic band keeps them from stretching properly in width. Very disappointing.

I have had several pair of the Riva and up to this latest pair, I found them to be great shoes. I need a 7.5 / 3EEE, and although these were labeled 3EEE, they were very very tight. I decided to return them for a refund, as they were comfortable as previous Rivas I have purchased.

I returned it. It fit great, but the color wasn't like the picture. It was an odd color you'd expect an old man to wear.

Bought 10.5 EEE, same as the ones I had. Way way smaller, so had to buy stretcher.

No selection for C widths Florsheim was my first selection! Always bought Florsheim shoes. NO MORE

Good fit, good quality. I've been wearing this type shoe for many years. I wouldn't buy anything else.

THE SUPPOSED 5E WIDE SHOES WERE NOT ANY WIDER THAN THE 3E WIDE SHOES I BOUGHT SOME TIME BACK. I RETURNED THE 5E WIDE SHOES BECAUSE I COUD NOT GET MY FEET INTO THEM. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND HAVE WORM THEM SINCE THEY WERE $35/PAIR IN THE 80'S, BUT I COULD NOT FIND ANY EXTRA WIDE RIVA SHOES IN ANY STORES FOR OVER TWO YEARS. I STRETCHED MY 3E WIDE SHOES OUT SO THAT I COULD FIT MY FEET INTO THEM.

Recently purchase pair of shoes shown above that I had in my collection for many years. Did not resemble the construction of the shoes I had. No leather sole! Size not the same!

It is stylish and comfortable when you first try it on. Then the heals disintegrate after just a few hours of use or a few miles of walking. This has happened to me before with this shoe. The quality of Floursheim tanked 15 years ago. They are just living off their name for sales. No quality at all. Cheap materials.

I purchased these some time ago and only wore them three or four times. The sole and heel on one started deteriorating into little pieces. I have another pair I have worn for years with no problems. Not pleased at all.

I purchased these shoes in both black and brown. (9EEE) The black pair fits perfect and I have been wearing since delivery. I am barely able to get the brown shoes on my feet. I wore them for a day to see if they would potentiially stretch out. No success I have one pair of shoes (black) that are great and on pair (brown) that are sitting in my closet because it causes me great pain to wear them. Both are 9EEE according to the boxes them arrived in. I have been wearing Florsheim all my life but now will be questioning the quality of the product after ordering on line. Someone should check the product before it leaves the warehouse. I would like an explanation of how this could happen.

The outer leather surface is wafer-thin and rips off (at the toe in my case) after minimal and normal use. Comfortable, and good traction, but a too hot given the synthetic sole material and the lining. I would not buy this one again.

Have always purchased this brand shoe. I am happy with the latest buy.

There was nothing wrong with this shoe. The thing that was wrong, was with the shoes I didn't buy. If you are going to email me an ad, then have the courtesy of having a full supply of shoes in all your colors and sizes. You lost the sale of at least one pair of shoes and maybe two, because you didn't have my size in my selected colors.
