These are actually awesome shoes. Excellent comfort. Excellent style. My only complaint is that I bought two pair of these and then didn't use them because of foot fungus concerns unrelated to any particular shoe I decided I preferred opened toed shoes. As a result, both pairs sat in the closet for 10 years unused. Then, when I finally pulled them out to use in an emergency I found that the spongy sole had disintegrated. I realize this is not a concern for almost anyone here and being biodegradeable is probably a good things. I am ordering replacements, but I want people to be aware of this behavior.

I bought the Riva style because the Como shoe I wanted was not available in my size. The fit of the Riva is fine, but I am not certain the plastic sole/heel will prove satisfying over time. I am hoping that it will flex more like an all-leather shoe after break-in.
As to the service from Florsheim - it was excellent. The order and delivery process is easy and prompt.

Great shoe. Soft and comfortable. Beware though, sole can be slick to begin with.

The first one I bought was 1/2 a size too tight. To avoid the discomfort even after a month or so, i decided to buy 1/2 size up and its working great now. Its rare to have a leather shoe that doesn't feel stiff on the feet. It's a little too shiny for my liking though. That should wear off over time.

This is my 6th pair of Riva shoes I have bought in the last very many years and I like them a lot. There is one very important thing that bothers me a lot: The top part stays up VERY WELL but the soles wear prematurely. Because of that I have no less than 4 pairs of shoes that are still perfect on top but with worn down soles to the point I had to buy new ones. So my suggestion is: make the soles in such a way that they wear evenly with the top part.

These are very nice shoes and look equal to the Florsheim reputation. My only fault is they are a bit tight, but that may improve or it may be that my feet have gotten longer (I am 80!)

It's agreat shoe, very light and comfortable. The only thing I did not like was a buckle on the left. I perfer it should be without buckle.

I have worn this type of Shoe, as a Florsheim Brand or Bostonian Brand, for at least the last 15 to 20 years and have found them to be Comfortable and Durable. For at least the past 5 to 10 years it has been difficult to find any outlets that carry or are able to order "E" sizes.
I was pleased to find your online site that offered this Shoe, in Black and Cordovan, in "E" sizes. Now if only I could find a source for this same Shoe in Brown.

Very comfortable shoes. Have bought many pairs over several years, good for people with foot issues.
Wish the soles lasted a bit longer and/or were easier to have new soles added later on. Also, wish you had the Extra Wide in more colors.
But, still great shoes.

First-time user of website, since unable to find selection of Florsheim shoes in local stores. Even so,
couldn't get exact (brown) color shoe I wanted so got mahogany color which was close to desired color.
Surprised that these loafers are so much higher-priced on website than in local retailers.

I have worn this shoe for years as they are most comfortable. However the last pair I had were worn for less than two years and then I left the country for 23 months not taking those shoes with me. When I returned, the sole had cracked, and peeled away from the shoe leaving the stitching intact. The sole essentially disintegrated because of non-use.

The Comfortech shoe is very comfortable and does not require any break in period. I have been wearing them for many years. The downside is that the sole and heel are one piece and made of rubber. After several years, it appears that the rubber dries out and cracks, rendering the shoes as unwearable. I have had this problem with the last three pairs I have purchased.

Shoe is comfortable, no break in required. The shoe is light weight. I wear a narrow and the fit is good except the back is slightly loose. So far, i am happy with the shoe. Only tie will tell on how well it wears.

Love the shoes, however I find it sad that they do not make sizes in a "e" width. I use a 91/2 E in the black riva and it is great, however in all
other colors I have to get a 10 which is a little too long and not quite wide enough. The triple E sizes are way too wide. I have worn Rivas in all colors for over 30 years and am very unhappy that they started limiting their size range.
