My favorite dress shoe

After buying & returning 3 pairs of a competitors shoes that were 1/2 size apart but did not fit, I was about to give up on buying shoes on line, but remembered how much I liked used to like my Florsheim shoes and ordered a pair. It was like returning home from a long trip and crawling into my own bed! They FIT. My 7 1/2-C foot had not changed size after all, and Florsheim has not allowed their American shoe sizes to be compromised. I had drifted away years ago for a style change, but I am home to stay.

I have previously owned 3 pairs of this style of Florsheim shoe. They are extremely comfortable and each pair lasted 8-10 years. The last 2 pairs were size 9 D and 8.5 EEE. They both fit although the 9 D was a bit tight and the 8.5 EEE was a bit loose. I ordered and 8.5 E. These were a good width but were too long. I spoke with a customer rep and she advised trying an 8 E. These arrived within 3 days and were perfect. This brand and style are the only dress shoe I'll were. I can't say enough good things about the shoe or the customer service. I don't understand the sizing as I now have 3 different sizes that all fit acceptably well but overall I'm well pleased. Florsheim was always my favorite shoe for quality, value, comfort and wear. It is next to impossible finding a men's shoe store so when I found the Florsheim website, I was very pleased. I purchased these shoes for a wedding and I couldn't believe the comfort for a new pair of shoes! I felt like I was wearing slippers all night. I've been a fan of Florsheim shoes for many years. While they are admittedly a more expensive shoe, I believe that you get what you pay for - and Florsheim shoes are good looking, well built and last a long time. The Riva as a stylish, well made shoe. There are also similarly styled Florsheim shoes available at a lower price that I noticed after I'd purchased the Riva shoes. For the purchaser who is looking for a smart looking pair of dress shoes that will be in style and last for several years (instead of buying new shoes every year), Florsheim shoes are an excellent wardrobe investment.

I have always loved Florsheim shoes. They are comfortable and last a long time. When my current shoes wear out, I use them for gardening for a few years before I throw them away.

I bought this pair of shoes for my brother as a birthday gift. My brother has worn Florsheim shoes for decades now and has never changed model. He always choose "Riva" and swears that it is the most comfortable shoes ever.
