I still have a burgundy pair of these from 14 years ago (2003). Yes, they probably spent a few years safely in the closet, though they spent plenty of hours doing bartending and security work too. When it came time to replace them I decided to see what Florsheim might have these days, and then when I discovered they still make the exact same style, I immediately ordered them in black. Like any other shoes of this type, they do take time to break in, but after that, they are one of the best shoes I've ever owned.

Florsheim's Noble shoe is the only one we buy for our son. He uses it to work and he does a lot of walking around in his job. He wears out his shoes quicker but that's because he is hard on his shoes (the other Florsheim he wears for church every Sunday still looks new after so many years of use) so we usually buy him a fresh pair every six months. This shoe is good for the money and we will keep on buying it.

I've worn these shoes for years. I used to work a job where I was on my feet all day, walking an average of 5-7 miles during an average workday (I ran a mailroom). I switched jobs, and I'm working at a desk most of the day. I thought I'd get "dressier" shoes. They were not as comfortable or as durable as my Nobles. I have wide toes and I wear orthodics. These shoes work well for both conditions. With a bit of polish, these shoes do not look out of place with a suit, but look normal when wearing jeans or khakis.

Really nice shoes. The fit was great right out of the box and the construction of them seems a bit above some of the other shoes in the same category. They are a somewhat more dressy than casual but I think they still can be worn in a casual way.

Great Show for People with foot problems or Diabetes. Reason for this being the solid heel that extends through the center of the shoe preventing the shoe from bending in the middle (NO Arch pains or burning feet) . My Doctor recommended this type of shoe, and this Florsheim Co is the only one I found so far.

I am a business professional who commutes to downtown Chicago on the train daily. House-to-train and train-to-office is 1/2 mile each, which I walk. Most people wear gym shoes which I believe looks rather silly in a business suit or casual office wear. These shoes are more supportive than gym shoes and look professional. I use four pairs consistently; black and cordovan each for commuting, then changing to the same colors in the office. Once a year or so I buy two new pairs and rotate. Can't beat them!

Florsheim should invest in a more durable shoelaces. I have been a loyal customer but you need to invest in a higher quality shoelace that does not fray around the eyelet pressure points.

I've purchased the same shoe for over 8 years, they're durable and worth the value. I've tried other brands and there is no comparison. I supervise in a large very busy warehouse I'm on my feet and on the go all day! I couldn't do my job without them. They're also stylish and have come along when going out and there is the slightest possibility that I'll find myself on the dance floor with my wife. What could be better than comfortable shoes at work and while cutting the rug! Highly recommend them for anyone seeking a comfortable, durable no nonsense shoe.

I commute via train to Chicago daily, walking from my home 1/2 mile to the train; then another 1/2 mile to my office. Most people wear sneakers, but I prefer a more professional look. These shoes are perfect! Look and feel good. Once at my office I change into another matching pair for my work day. When the commuting pair wears out, I buy new ones shifting the previous office-only pair to "commute-only." Delighted with this system!

I use this style for casual dress until they are less attractive and then they become my everyday work shoe. I've purchased this same style for about eight to ten years.

I wear them every day of the work week. I really find them comfortable and nice looking. the only flaw is when the shoe gets wet in the rain the sole has a tendency to come loose
