Tolerable - Not very comfortable, but not painful enough to spend another $100.00 on a replacement pair. They also make a very loud and noticable squeak on anything other than heavy carpet, so be prepared to be the center of attention while walking through stores. Maybe I just got a bad pair, but I won't be giving Florsheim a second chance.

Not very comfortable when there is a big hump that pushes into the arch of your foot.

Extremely disappointing. The uppers seem to be glued directly to the sole without any intervening layer of stitching. "Comfortech" sounds good, but it basically means that these are cheaply made and cannot be resoled unless you have them virtually reconstructed. Which is not worth doing because the leather isn't of such great quality either. I have bought countless rubber-soled shoes from other companies that are just as comfortable and can be easily resoled by online and local services. I liked the way these shoes looked and felt when brand new, but I will not be buying another pair.

I love Florsheim shoes. I've been wearing them for over 50 years.

This was my third pair. The two previous pair were great and each lasted for years, that's why I got a third. From day one this latest pair was terrible. They were extremely, embarrassingly squeaky and began to fall apart within a month. I wore them about 8 hours per day for maybe 5 months before I had to set them aside--and this was long overdue. My job is mostly sitting at a desk, so the shoes weren't mistreated or misused. I'm not sure what happened to the product I once loved, but I'm not going to risk buying another pair.

This are stylish, comfortable shoes but cannot be easily resoled. When I wrote to Florsheim about this, they responded "We always suggest buying leather bottom shoes that can be resoled." Thanks alot Florsheim. I note that Allen-Edmonds, Rockport and other companies do have factory resoling or factory-authorized resoling of rubber soled shoes, so Florsheim needs to get its act together. Will not buy again.

I was first attracted to this pair of shoes by the look. In the beginning, I was very pleased with the pair that I bought. The fit was perfect. The shoes were light, and comfortable. They were a delight to wear and walk with. They certainly felt like the perfect pair for what I often do: traveling around the country and walking a lot around agricultural fields. But then, my delight with my shoes was short-lived. Before long, the shoes began to deform. Then, the SOLES DELAMINATED from the body of the shoes! THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN WITH FLORSHEIM SHOES!!! Fortunately, I detected the defect while still in my hotel room. I was able to get out of my predicament with a quick temporary repair using contact cement bought from a nearby store. But what if I was out in the fields when the soles delaminated? It would have been a disaster. What should I do with the shoes now? The soles look like they still have many miles of walking left on them. But I cannot trust the soles to stay on with my contact cement repair. What if the shoes come apart again when I am out in the boondocks? The shoes have the following markings inside:20881 9 38 LJ
