It appears the shoe sides are mor brittle than before? 8th pair of lex and I use to make them last a year but now I find myself replacing every 8 mo???

Something changed within the last year and now shoe laces fray quickly and leave a white color and then break.

I found the lace is thinner than before??

A nice shoe that was just a hair too big for me. It was also very glossy- almost to patent level. I sent it back and ordered a different model, but on the whole a great shoe.

The shoes I ordered were great looking and very stylish. The only negative is they were about a 1/2 size narrow. I recently bought two pairs of Florsheim shoes (one from a department store and the other online), both were marked the same size 10D, but the ones shipped online were more narrow and I had to buy a stretcher to get some relief for my poor tired feet.

this style was not the same as the previous Lexingtons I have purchased. the toe is much more rounded and "stubby" than the pair i currently own. I have exchanged them for the Edgar...hoping the style is more like the old Lexington. I have sent the Lexingtons in....have not received the Edgars back in return.

I have worn the Lex Cap Toe for 10 years. Until recently, they were perfect for me. I have to clear a metal detector SEVERAL times a day and these were perfect, as they USED to clear. I just purchased a new pair and guess what?! Yep, the new shoes have steel shanks for arch support. It would have been nice to know this in advance, but there is no mention of this change to the shoe anywhere that I could find. I am very disappointed and Florscheim has just lost a long-time customer.

This shoe is UGLY shiny! Not a rich leathery sheen at all!

I work in a facility of high security and need airport friendly shoes. This shoe advirtises this feature and doesn't deliver. I have to take my shoes off everytime I go through the metal detector. I already wore them to work and couldn't send them back... Not happy I spent so much a this shoe!

The arch supports are always different, one time it will be the left shoe, the next pair it will be the right shoe. About every third pair the soles sqeek when you walk.

The foreign made shoes are hit and miss. I have worn 2E all my adult life and the India made shoes were too narrow with the 3E. I would suggest that you order 1 to 1/2 size larger if you have a wide foot and get them as wide as you can. The quality of the leather is also low. usually too stiff. I have purshed Florsheim shoes in the past and I am sure I will again. Maybe they could keep customers shoe size on file.

Bought on-line. Beautiful shoe and well constructed. However,ordered normal size (10.5 B) and could barely get my foot into the shoe. Will return immediately.

It was very disappointing to discover that shoe sizes vary among the different shoe styles offered by Florsheim. Having purchased a pair of shoes one month (better suited for rainy winter days) and then purchasing another pair only a few months later, I was unhappy to find that the second pair of shoes was at least one size smaller than what I needed. This is cause for dissatisfaction with eh process of purchasing shoes from Florsheim.

The shoes have a defect. The inside right shoe has a buckle in the leather. I will be sending them back hopefully to get them replaced. I've been buying your shoes for years so I was disappointed with the quality of these particular shoes

I ordered the same size I normally order 12 Triple E and it was way too big on my foot felt more like a 13 I like the shoe but it didn't fit

I returned the shoes. I was a noble plain toe customer for over 30 years but Florsheim decided to discontinue my size. I thought the I could find a replacement product with this purchase. But, they are too flashy, too "banker big shot" style. Not compatible with the business casual I typically dress. So I returned them and my search for a noble plain toe type shoe continues.

Cheap looking shoe, not happy with it at all. Feels and fits like fake leather. Very disappointed.

This shoe looks like pure plastic it is horrible. When I opened the box the first thought was that you had shipped me a plastic shoe, there is no way this is leather, it looks horrible and cheap, its garbage.

I take very good care of my shoes. I use leather conditioner, shoe trees, and shine regularly. In spite of all that they only lasted a month and a half.

I have been buying these shoes for years. This last pair are not comfortable. The sides ride too high against the ankle and are not comfortable. Time to switch shoes. Florsheim needs to spend a little more time with quality control. Also not easy to return them for a new pair.

Wore these shoes less than 20 days and the soles split and the leather separated from the soles. Not at all comfortable, feet are sore every day. Very disappointed. My last pair last 15 years with average 200 days wear per year and were extremely comfortable. Will most likely never buy another Florsheim product.

I have recently bought 2 pairs of the same style of shoe in different colors, black and burgundy. The black ones appear to be up to par with what I had expected from the Florsheim brand; however the burgundy ones have a leather rip on the top of the shoe after using them for 1 week only. I'm really disappointed.
