I have been wearing Berkeley size 12 e for over 20 years. I recently three of them..non of them fit. too tight to get on!! so I ordered the 13...it is too loose. so I have switched to cole hawn size 12 and they slip right on. have you switched suppliers? I am really disappointed.

While these shoes fit great, they're falling apart after less than two months. Furthermore, these shoes have so little substance to them that they feel like slippers.

In order to have enough confidence in a product to order it "sight unseen" online, one must expect consistency. If one style of Florsheim 12-B's. fits my foot, ALL Florsheim 12-Bs should fit my foot. Those Berkleys were a full inch too short. On top of that, you actually expected me to PAY for the return of your mistake. In light of this, I will look for another brand that fits my foot, but is available in stores in my area.

The stitching on this shoe broke after only seven weeks of wear. Based on that life span, it cost about $15.71 a week before I couldn't wear it any more.

I ordered my size in a wide. I usually fit right into a wide with no problem. These shoes are marked as E(wide), but they fit like a narrow width. Sending them back.

Ordered 3 E. It is not wide. Zappos is great. Sorry I cannot say the same about these shoes. Very disappointed.

In just 3 months, I wore a hole completely through the sole of the shoe walking on carpeting and polished floors. Very disappointed and will never buy from this brand again. (It was comfortable when I first got it though, just wore out way too fast.)

Despite a price reduction, the shoe is not worth more than $30.00. The construction is shoddy. I expect the beef roll stitching to split. Very disappointed in the lowering of Florsheim standards.

I have bought these shoes several times, and they are normally very nice--not this time. About a month after purchasing, the stitching on one shoe started coming loose just below the beef roll and spread quickly. Unfortunately, I was out of the country at the time and had to take them to a shoe repair shop which was quite expensive. Guess I got a lemon, but doubt I will purchase again.

Very disappointed in the quality of the leather uppers. I have bought at least 20 pairs of this shoe, this is the 1st pair in a couple of years. The leather used in the upper is hard and has a hard spray on finish. I haven't worn them a dozen times and the color is flaking and peeling. The quality of materials has dropped substantially since my last purchase.

Stiff, cheap leather. Uncomfortable. Tight across the top of the foot. Too wide along the side, gap was present.

The front upper wore out almost right away. I wore it normally in the summer as I have my penny loafers for years. I have a normal gait. Bought new in Summer, and within FIVE wear days (and I work in a carpeted office, but walk four blocks to work)the front upper wore out on the right shoe evidently because this shoe's front bulged out over the sole of the shoe in front and scraped the pavement with every step. I had to discard the shoe virtually brand new! This happened once before, years ago with a Dexter. I am giving Florsheim one more chance with this penny loafer purchase this time, since they had a good track record before this particular shoe was such a waste of money and disappointment.

These shoes make a loud noise when I walk, like many other Florsheim shoes I have purchased. I am going to return these shoes and never buy Florsheim shoes again.

The shoes are without a doubt mislabeled and too big. Now I have to pay to send them back and hopefully the right size shoes will be returned to me. Not pleased.

These shoes hurt my feet. I thought they would eventually break in and be a good replacement for my Bass Wejuns that I wore out. I was wrong!
I'd also recommend:
Bass or Sebago

These shoes last me 3 months after purchase. I work in a school and I wore 2 holes in my shoes on each foot. I returned the shoes and got another pair hoping it would be different and it was not... I now have another hole in one of the shoes and now have to return them again. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone! Walmart shoes last longer!

It's the strangest thing -- one shoe fit perfectly and the other felt a couple of sizes too small. I have never had this problem with other model Florsheim shoes (e.g., lace up) or any other model loafer/shoe (e.g., Bass, Johnston Murphy).

I have worn this shoe in burgundy and black for apx 25 yrs. Last two orders did not fit as they have in the past. The shoe is being made differently-lighter weight, stitching of soles is different, fit is more narrow than in past--in past it didn't need breaking in--it was comfortable from day one. I have 2 old pr that were made correctly if you want to compare. Contact me if you want more info ([@]). I would like to see you bring this show back to Florshime standard of the past. I plan to write your Chairman. I hope I can find a shoe as good as the Berkley you made in the past.

I have always bought Florsheim shoes before, and got great wear and durability, put now there is almost no leather in the product and they look like a cheap pair of vinyl shoes.
Use more leather to rebuild your quality and name.
