Sizing of the Berkley loafers, was impossible. My narrow foot very comfortably fits a pair of 8 1/2 Alden Cordovan Saddle Oxfords and my Florsheim Imperial Shell Cordovan Wingtips in size 8 1/2 C that I wore 20 years. But these shoes did not fit with either 8 1/2 D or E.

I am a Florsheim wearer and have 4 pair and over time many more. Look good It was almost like these were not Florsheim shoes. I wear 9 or 91/2 these were too small/tight. The interior was not the quality I am used to in Florsheim.

The shoes from florsheim have become just another shoe, while they remain stailish the quality of yesteryear has gone to the dogs. I have worn nothing but Florsheim since the 60's however as of lately with the manufacturing being done offshore the shoes fall apart. The front of my last three pairs have come apart, the thread used wears out prematurely and the sole separates from the sole. I talked to florsheim about the problem and got a wishy washi response telling me oit must be the way I walk, as i stated I been wearing Florsheim since the 60,s I have not changed the way I walk and never had this issue before

I ordered the same size shoe from Florsheim that matches all my other shoes. The Florsheim shoes are so tight I can't wear them more than 3 hours.

I have owned many pairs of Florsheim over the years with no problems until I bought these shoes. After 6 months or so of sporadic use the thread where the sole is attached to the upper broke.the break occurred in a non wear surface of the sole, cannot believe I am going to need to get these shoes repaired already

The fit and the look is perfect but when I wear it, the shoe is very hard and uncomfortable. Bad experience. This experience is contrary to my previous one, definitely the quality has gone down

Box and shoe each marked 12 EEE. Couldn’t get my foot in! Don’t remember shoes narrowing so much at the heel.

The quality of the shoe is considerably less than in past Florsheim shoes. I paid about $300 for my previous pair which were great. Did the company get bought out?

Looked good at first, pretty comfortable, but after wearing for one day at the office the rubber/plastic sole began to split from the shoe leather so that the brown seams and inner leather were visible all around the edge. I've now worn them for four days at work (office work) and they are visibly falling apart around the edge. The only reason I'm not giving 1-star is that Florsheim kindly gave me a full refund.

Fit is good after you wear them a few days. However, they don’t last. The stitching between the sole and the shoe has worn out in less than a year now on two pairs now. Deciding whether or not to buy again?

Shoes came without a shine. They were dull, and there was a scar, and mark on the shoe. Disappointed.

The shoes were tight when I first bought them and I thought they were just stiff because they were new. After several months, they relaxed a bit, but not enough to ever be comfortable. The biggest problems were 1) the upper separated from the sole on the sides just back from the toe and 2) a hole wore through the sole. I had worn the shoes for work (office job) for 9 months, once or twice a week. I weigh 155 pounds, so the wear seemed unreasonable. At least they looked nice...

The sizing is different from other Florsheim shoes I have purchased. A big disappointment since I buy Florsheim largely for the standardization in the sizing. The shoes are smaller than my other purchases made at the same time. The shoes are fine otherwise.

Loved the shoes initially, and they look GREAT, but the construction was faulty AGAIN, the glue separates on the heel with sole and creates a clicking sound when you walk. Sorry this 2nd pair wasn't any better than the first pair I had to return, too!

It's a great shoe. To bad that it is not the size that I ordered. It is also not the size that is written on the inside of the shoe. I ordered a size 9 3E. The shoes that were sent are labeled 9 3E. But they are less than 4 inches wide. That's pretty uncomfortable. My previous pair of shoes, from another company, are 9 3E and were never this tight. Your web site says size 9 3E should be 1/2 inch wider than these. I wore them first walking on cement so they were immediately nonreturnable.

These are my husband's favorite shoes for work for YEARS. He has owned NUMEROUS pairs. BUT, we received these shoes and there is clearly a manufacturer's defect as he could not even get his foot into the left shoe (the right one was fine). Figuring that we had an "odd pair", we called and they replaced it with another pair and we had the SAME problem and these had to be returned as well. It is visibly obvious that the left shoe is much thinner in width then the right shoe. We continued our search and found a shoe store that had "old stock" and bought a pair that fit perfectly....as always....WHICH PROVES MY POINT that there is currently a manufacturing issue with the latest batch of Berkeley shoes. Hoping this gets rectified soon before it's time to order another pair for hubby.

It is a beautiful shoe, now if I could find one that fit.I normally wear a 11 wide but when I ordered an 11e it was at least 1/2 inch to long. Sio I returned and ordered a 10.5 e.I can't begin to get my foot in the shoe. Returning that one also and buy elsewhere.
