Will be returning. Shoe looks great, but runs very small and narrow. I need a bigger size than usual. I have been buying the Nunn Bush shoe lately but thought I would try another brand to see if it would wear better. Looks like I may be returning to order the Bush instead.

I wear these shoes for work. I like the looks and style, however, quality has diminished over time, sizing is not true to scale, the soles wear quickly and in the last two pair, the soles separated from the shoe not long after I bought them. I may have to find another alternative. Thanks.

It looks great and not too formal that you can easily wear it with chinos and even shorts. You will get compliments on the shoe and give you instant upgrade in casual wear. However, the workmanship is lacking and details suffer. In close examination, you can see there are glued parts and those are not glued evenly with rough edges. Inside the shoes, the thin inner lining(?) came lose on my first wear (3 hrs). There are other miscues in detail so make sure not to look too closely. I doubt this shoe will survive thru more than one season of wear.

Very nice shoe but was unbelievably narrow - and it was supposed to be an E (wide). I could not even put my foot into it - Clearly these are not the same sizing as Bostonian - pity Bostonian does not make a penny loafer sold on Zappos.

Good all around shoe. I use it for work and casual. The support is not what I expected, and it does not hold a very good shine. Taking all that into consideration it is still a good shoe for the price. I wish they made the brown in a narrow width.

With a 3E width, I keep returning to Florsheim, and this is a style I have been re-purchasing for years. As time goes on, I am noticing that the soles are wearing out entirely too quickly. The bulk of my day is spent at a desk, in a CUBICLE on CARPET!! How is it possible that the soles could wear out so quickly? Please Florsheim, don't become a company that "used to be so good", but started cutting corners.

My left foot is my shortest and the lest of this pair is still 1/2 size too small for me. The right one is OK and that is the foot that has grown and is bothering my, so I'm keeping them, but wish I was happier!

I have had Florsheim Berkeley penny loafers the same size for the past 20 years. They have always been comfortable from the moment I've tried them on. Now, the same size is too tight, painfully so. I will return them and try a size larger.

I have bought this brand and style of Florsheim shoes for years. In the past 2-3 years, the quality has really decreased. Often, stitching on the upper part comes lose and the stitching that holds the soles and toe together separate. The major problem is the thickness of the soles. In only 3-4 months, I end up with holes in both soles. Florsheim used to make a good shoe.

Not happy with the quality I think the manufacturer has opted for less quality for price. I have bought Florsheim before and was happy. It seems to be the American way now. We get 3rd world quality from 3rd world country!

I struggled with the Star's. These are high quality moccasin and the perfect color (brown)is the reason I am keeping them. Having a little problem with the tongue rolling up on the left shoe I think caused by the thin soft leather these shoes are made of. They fit my need better than any other shoe I could have ordered.

I tried these on but sent these back because they could not compare in comfort to the Florsheim Imperials.I wish they still made these penny loafers with the Florsheim Imperial details and inners.

I bought this shoe because the Noval was unavailable in my size. This is a nice looking shoe and is comfortable compared to other dress shoes. I bought it hoping the Comforttech line would all be equally as comfortable. They are not. The Noval is a nice looking shoe but is as comfortable as a sneaker. The softtread soles make a huge difference on that shoe and I wish the Daily had it. Ultimately, I'm sure the Daily will break in and be comfortable but I don't like it as well.

It is what I thought it would be. A little loose depending on the socks I'm wearing. Good value for the money

I have always had a preference for the Florsheim products and usually purchased my shoes in a retail establishment. This time I purchased it on line and am disappointed. I am a size 14 left foot and 13 1/2 right foot. The shoes are slightly too large and my putting Dr. Sholles pads to take up the slack has not been too successful. [...]

Not as narrow as I'd like - The heel on this brand of shoes is not as narrow as my foot. I am now looking for pads to try and make it work.

Nice looking, but uncomfortable for walking and standing - I don't know how people can say these shoes are comfortable and have good arch support. While they are indeed comfortable while sitting down, the half-length insert offers virtually no cushioning and even less arch support. And because there's no insert in the forefoot, no amount of breaking in makes these shoes more comfortable (I've had mine for two years, so I know). They look good (until the leather starts cracking), but that's about as far as they go. They look good (until the leather starts cracking), but that's about as far as they go.

It's hard to find a 9.5E dress shoe. I was happy to have found this pair. Although it fits well, my husband refused to wear them because the brand-tag was stitched on the inside of the shoe where it will rub your heels when you walk. It would nice if they could make it tagless like some other manufacturers do.

Not the shoe I wanted - Bought the shoe for my husband and brought it back to the UK where we live. Shoe was too long and kept slipping in the heel. Have added a leather piece to try and tighten the heel. Still not good. If I had known prior to traveling, I would have returned them. Wanted the Florsheim Imperial Leather Penny Loafer which is what I thought I was buying.

Shoe purchase - I needed an 11-1/2 wide - for some reason is not available - so had to order a 12 wide, which is now a tad to big.

I have worn these shoes for about a year and they're still as stiff and uncomfortable as they were on day one. I'm really sorry I didn't trust my instincts and returned them, but I hoped it would just be a matter of breaking them in. It wasn't. The good news is they have held up well and look beautiful, but they'll be looking good on the floor of my closet from now on.
