Just received 2nd pair of beautiful "beefroll" burgundy loafers today. Sadly, my feet are old and the shoes didn't fit again.

Quality footwear is a long term investment;particularly classically styled models such as the Berkley. Having taken delivery on a pair of Berkley loafers only a few weeks ago it is difficult to render a relevant review. Time and long term wear "will tell".

We bought this shoe a half length longer than usaul since the extra wide was not available. Bought wide, but it is too narrow to slip my foot inside. I will have to return this pair and wait til an extra wide in my proper length is available.

This was marked as 3E but not wide enough for my husband. Love the look but you need to focus on width as they didn't even look wide. Sad that I cannot find a wide shoe

In my opinion and experience these are extremely narrow. Bought two sizes D and E and both would not go on my foot. Exchanging for a half size up and 3E. But shoes do look beautiful. Classic. Hoping the exchange size fits!

I purchased these shoes to replace a pair of Johnston & Murphy Hayes Penny Loafers which were too narrow for me. The color is more brown than burgundy and are not as good as a shoe in style or appearance.

Better get the next wider and next shorter if you want them to fit like your old pair.

Nice shoe. Extremely stiff after a week still breaking them in
The soles have already lost a lot of their brown color. Which is disappointing not sure I would buy them again at this price point

The color is darker than the photo. The leather looks like imitation leather. They are fairly comfortable. They don't sound good on hard floors. Over all I believe it was a better shoe in the 1960 and 1970s rather than today. I will work with the finish to try to lighten it up in color, I also noticed the highlighting on the shoe is not well defined , the black highlighting can hardly be seen. Just the color it self seems to be poor. It use to be a medium maroon color, now it looks like a brown color. It just doesn't project quality like it use to. It use to be in a class of its own. Today it looks like an average attempt to copy a classic shoe. That's what I see. I was disappointed when I opened the box. This shoe, at one point was like the best shoe on the planet. The color was what made it such a classic. I do not intend to be hurtful or mean with this review, I hope it is useful, or at least read by your quality team. I appreciate the time and will wear this pair of shoes , perhaps they will cure with time, like a fine wine. Sincerely, CF SEWELL

PLEASE IGNORE THE STARS. THEY ARE FORCING ME TO GIVE OPINIONS ON A SHOE I COULDN'T GET MY FOOT INTO.
Beautiful shoe, but alas, I couldn't get more than my toes in - again. I was looking for some oxblood/cordoban penny loafers, but they don't make them in wide width for women, so I thought I'd try Florsheim (having already tried Rockport and a boy's shoe). My dad is a 5E - I am apparently also a Duck... a very sad and hopeless Duck. ;_;

Had to return the shoe, too tight. Nothing wrong with the shoe, it just didn't t work for me.
But the ordering process did not go smoothly. No confirmation email, had to call twice to check on status. Inconvenient.

The shoes appear to be narrow. I have a need for 3e width and there was no stamp on the inside to indicate the size or width. They are tight now. hopefully they will stretch

super thin materials... good style but not a substantial loafer. ok if you’re on a budget and need a loafer in a pinch.

The leather is stiffer than I like. The shoes were too tight for me. I returned them and ordered the Riva Comfortech shoes instead.

I have a long narrow foot. Typically, I wear size 13 B but the Florsheim Penny Loafers are sized too wide for my feet. I was also disappointed in the weight and quality of the leather. Not a heavy leather I was expecting!
The process for requesting and receiving a label for returning the product was quick and easy. Fill out the online form, print the label, attach to the box, and drop off at UPS store.
The refund has not yet been processed so I can't comment as to Florsheim's response time.

Initially these felt true to size and width but after wearing a few times they have stretched considerably. I didn't appreciate that these were made in Communist Vietnam but kept them anyway. Now wish I had returned them immediately. Leather is THIN and I assume that's why they stretched and also what we get when OUTSOURCING . Shame on Florsheim.

Look like PATENT LEATHER but labels claim genuine leather> I guess the Vietnamese who make these learned how to make leather look fake versus the normal trade secrets that make fake leather look real. They are comfortable straight from the box so I'll just have to wear them longer to offer a sturdiness comment since I've only had them a week, so far.

I've had a bunch of these over the years and generally like the style and comfort. However, the pair I bought about a year ago just had the heel fall off on one shoe, making them unwearable. This is even though the shoes are worn in an office setting without much real wear and tear. Prior versions of this shoe lasted much longer with no problems like this. So this is just a non-typical defective pair, or the quality of the shoe construction has taken a big dive. Don't know which.
