I have wanted a penny loafer for years but couldn't wear them when younger and smaller. I wanted something to dress up jeans but also for kakis. The insole could be a little more cushioning but overall they are what I wanted. They were a little tight out of the box, but have loosened up with wearing. I've had another pair of florsheims for 32 years, have resoled about 4 times and still wear. It will be interesting to see how these hold up.

These shoes are comfortable for dress casual use

Great classic penny loafer shoes. Ones with leather soles last forever. May feel stiff in beginning, but constant wear to work will easily break them in. Fantastic.

The Berkley is a nice stylish shoe for everyday wear at home and work. This is my second pair. The heel seems to wear down a little fast.

I am a guy who likes good shoes over sneakers any day. This Berkley Penny Loafer is like my BMW in my shoe collection. My really expensive shoes, I wear them once and then they go on display like a Ferrari. These shoes I can put them in my rotation and feel good when Im styling in them. they are worth the $$$ invested, and no one can ever say that one has cheap taste when I flash bye in these loafers.

I like the style and looks

I wear these with my suites, shorts, Khakis, Jeans, and slacks. i can wear them with anything.

I wear to work every day. Walk from parking lot to building where it's generally carpeted. Something happened with my most recent couple of pair where the heels and soles have worn much more quickly than previously. I had them resoled and re-heeled. Even then the remaining sole cracked after a year and was unsightly, although upper still looked good. I like the shoes, but would like the soles to wear longer, like I think they used to. I remove the name tag inside on the heel because it wears holes in my sock heels much more quickly.

I was surprised how quickly I received my shoes as I do not in a metropolitan area.

For any airline pilots considering these, they will set off the airport metal detectors. I bought these because the description says they have a non metal shank. Well something in there is metal.

The biggest problem I have found with this shoe over the last 2-3 years is the thread used to sew the leather to the sole does not hold up. I could get more wear out of the shoe if the thread did not deteriorate as rapidly as it does. I have even taken the shoe to a local shoe repair shop and the thread he repairs my shoe with holds up better than your thread. Big disappointemnt!!!
