Ecco track boots - These are the best boots I've ever owned. I was leery of the price before I bought them, but they're worth much more. They last forever! I wore the first pair every day for two years and there wasn't a bit of wear showing on them. I was afraid that they'd be discontinued (since that oftens happens to me when I love an item), so I bought an identical back-up pair just in case. I'm going on three years now with the first pair and they still look like new. I raved about them to my 60 year old dad, who's never spent more than $50 on footwear in his life, and he reluctantly bought a pair himself. Now he's getting all of his friends to buy them too! He also says they're the most comfortable thing he's ever worn. I saw a picture of President Bush at his ranch and he was wearing a pair too! You can pay $220 for these and wear them everyday for years, or you could go through 4 pairs of $100 boots in the same time, like I used to. By the way, you can buy more insoles for about $25 and its like a whole new boot, fresh cushion, no smell, etc. Just buy them!

I bought a pair of these new and wore them for 6 years, mostly hiking rugged trails, as well as some moderate construction work. They required no break-in period and were very comfortable. They are very waterproof, having crossed many a shallow creek in them with no leakage. I have hiked in weather ranging from zero degrees to 98 degrees and found them to breathe very well. Overall, a very excellent boot. The only downside (for me) was that I wish it had a little better arch support as I have weak arches. If you don't have weak arches, this is the best hiking boot out there!

Ecco Boots - I was having lots of leg problems from being on my feet constantly. After purchasing Ecco Boots, my feet and leg problems went away. This is the finest shoe I have ever worn and probably will ever wear. They are fantastic.

Great boot, very comfortable. I have owned Timberland Gortex boots in the past and one pair Rockport gortex and these are even more comfortable because of the poly sole and removeable insole. They look similar to the Timberlands also. For about 40 bucks more I would go with Eccos unless you are hard on your boots and go through them every 6 months or so.

Ecco outdoors are the best! I have worn Eccos for work and outdoor activities for 5 years. They are unsurpassed for their quality versus price. Mephistos are as good, but a lot more money. My current pair of Eccos give excellent traction, and are thoroughly waterproof. Two requirements I demand. They are as comfortable as any shoe you'll ever wear, too.

My feet just don't seem to be shaped to fit European sizes. Great looking shoe, fabulous support, seemed comfortable. Unfortunately, my feet don't seem to be shaped to fit European sizes and while I usually take a long, narrow shoe. The Ecco's just seem to be a hair too short and a hair too narrow for my size 15's. Pity.

Former greatness - When I bought my first pair of Ecco Track shoes in 1998, I was blown away by how great they felt right out of the box. I wore them everywhere, from the mountains of Greece to Manhattan slush puddles. Whether it was 95 degrees out or fifteen below and snowing, they always kept me dry and comfortable, and they lasted five years before the soles finally wore through. My experience with the new shoes has been comparatively disappointing: I had to exchange the first pair because they rubbed badly in one spot, and the left shoe on the exchanged pair feels cramped in the toe. In general, the new pair is not as supple and comfortable as the old pair was. That's hardly Zappos' fault, they shipped my exchange very promptly, but Ecco needs to figure out what it's doing wrong. My fist pair was made in Portugal, while the new pair comes from Slovakia. Maybe that has something to do with it, in any event, Ecco turned a truly great shoe into a mediocre one.

THE best! Bought the low-cut version (in the bison color) a month ago, and they are just wonderfully comfertable shoes, as well as well made. I do a lot of walking in and outside of the city and my feet feel great at the end of a work day. These are, clearly, the first semi-dress shoes that I have been able to walk in, all day, without any aches and pains and strains. The cons: none. However, they could make them wider at the toe box, or in widths; and, they could do something about the dye on the fibre system insole because the dye rubs off on your socks. All in all, they are AWSOME shoes! Very satisfied customer!

Fantastic! I have owned these boots since 1992 and I am just now thinking about replacing them (11 years later!). They are truly unbelievable. Fantastic comfort and truly versatile. I have worn them as casual boots, hiking boots and even went caving in them which required waist deep wading through water and they held up like a real trooper.

The best shoe I've ever owned! This is an awsome shoe! Without a doubt the best I've ever purchased. I highly recomend it to everyone. Comfort with extreme durabity!

Makes sore feet and it falls apart after a few hikes - This shoe is very narrow. The stiches leak water. The bottom of the shoe falls off after a few hikes.

74 years old - I wear Track II Low every day - only shoe that is comfortable for me. Have narrow foot (A or B width) but this width fits me fine. Use the Track II High when it snows in South Mississippi - Great value! Zappos shipping is great - usually 1 or 2 days.

Only boot I've worn for well over five years. Very comfortable after a day or so of minor break in. The soles wear out a little faster than most and they do not re sole well at all, but the sole probably has a lot to do with the overall satisfaction and comfort.

Simply The Best - I have spent many dollars on hiking shoes trying to find a good shoe/boot at a good price. Forget about it! If you want simply the best hiking shoe/boot at any price, this is it.

Walk in my shoes - I have had these boots since 1994. I have hiked, walked and biked in them. Combined I have over 7000 logged miles in the same boots. It is a shame that I have to get another pair. I wish there was a way to refurbish them. They just keep getting better. The bison skin has never warn out. They are well worth the money.

Terrific Boots - This is the second pair of Ecco Boots that I owned. The first pair lasted over 10 years. They're terrific boots. I hope this pair continues the longevity. They're great in the winter; waterproof and warm.

Husband's choice - My husband LOVES these shoes! He's on his feet all day working on a 4 mile campus in all weather conditions. This is his second pair. Their well worth the money.

The Best! This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned! This is my 3rd pair. Each one has lasted atleast 2 years each and I will never buy another type of boot! I love them.

Wonderful Product - These boots made an unbelievable difference in my workday. My feet felt better the minute I put them on, -before I stood up and walked in them for the first time. I work at an automotive assembly plant and spend countless hours on my feet. A coworker recommended ECCO shoes and a UPS delivery driver swore by these boots. I noticed a difference in my lower back and my hips not having to bear as much shock from walking around on concrete floors and they are surprisingly lightweight. By the way, I've owned the boots for over a year. They're still as comfortable as the day I put them on for the first time and in very good condition. I have a history of stress fractures in both feet and have had no re-occurrences since I purchased these. Try them -you'll be satisfied. I've recommended them to several people and they've all agreed.

GREAT EVERYDAY BOOT - These boots are very comfortable and really fit me well, considering that I have a narrow long foot. They fit me like a glove. I love the multi-layer textured look to them as well, as well as the lighter-colored sole. They're great to wear in inclement weather, or sunny weather. I just think they're very good-looking boots.

Outstanding All-Purpose Boot! I've had my black Track II's for about 2 years and have worn them nearly everyday in weather ranging from hot to freezing cold. They've been through mud, sagebrush and every type of terrain you can imagine and still feel as good as new. My feet have never gotten too hot or too cold, regardless of the temperature. I don't have to worry about slipping on ice because they grip like spikes. I wear them with Levi's, shorts or slacks, I don't care! I only wish I had discovered this brand sooner! The best part is that I got a great deal because my wife's friend works for a distributor and got them at cost! I would highly recommend the Track II's to anyone who needs an all-purpose boot for any type of walking or hiking!

Outdoorsman - These boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years on rugged boots and shoes and these are them! And they are waterproof!! No leaks at all and they feel like gloves on my feet. I am hard to fit but these or for me. They are now 2 years old, That is just pennies a day! I wear the 4 to 5 times a week. They have another 2 years left in them. I will be sad to see them go but will replace them with another pair! Spend the money, they are well worth it and your tired old dogs will get new life from them!

Top Shelf. I couldn't believe the price at first, too much, but talking to my Lt., he said that there are two things in life that you spend good money for: mattresses and shoes. When you figure how much time you spend in either one, you buy the best you can afford. These would be a bargain at twice the price. I've had them three years. They're getting scuffed a bit, but have taken me to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and on many a hike. The waterproofing is stupendous, they've tackled three winters in NE Wisconsin without one damp pair of socks. Thank you Ecco!!

Boots look better than the picture. Most comfortable boot I've ever had. Much better than Timberlands. Buy them and you won't be disappointed.
