These shoes are great looking and very comfortable! I wore Vans back in high school and college and remembered how great they were. I needed a new pair of casual sneakers and decided to go back to the classic look I loved. They are highly recommended.

Overall these are a great shoe and I wear them more than any of my other pairs of Vans. If you own the authentic model already, get the same size you wear in those. This model is more durable than the authentic. Just like the authentic, once you get to the point where they are really dirty, they triple in comfort once they go through the washing machine. People complain about vans not lasting a long time.. I don't have that problem. For me, the canvas material gets bleached from the sweat and sun long before the sole ever wears out.. a pair of old skools lasts me forever if you don't skate or anything. I would give them 5 stars, except for the first couple days, they pinch my toes, but that quickly goes away and never comes back!

They are your "go to" casual shoe that looks great with jeans, pants and shorts. My son wears them all the time. On his second pair! And they come in a variety colors.

Great shoes, durable, flat but not too uncomfy for someone with large arches like myself. They run big, but I always order a full size smaller. they look great with jeans, shorts and everything in between.

I was looking for a comfortable, all black shoe. This definitely fits the bill. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Only issue would be that when trying to put my feet in the shoes, its a bit of a tight squeeze. I think the hole/opening is a bit small. But, once they're in, my feet have plenty of room.

I loved the Vans I had bought over the past 10 years that were more of a boxy skate shoe. I couldn't find any similar styles by Vans out currently, so I decided to try these. Every other pair of Vans lasted years for me. This one started wearing out after a few weeks. Zappos customer service was awesome and gave me another pair. Since the others broke so quickly, I don't use these for the same purposes but are holding up better. They were not too comfortable out of the box, but with the addition of a comfy insole and some time to break in, they have gotten much better. Definitely not my favorites as all my other Vans had been, but I do like them.

The coolest torture devices ever made. I have had Vans shoes and clothes before, they are all amazing. These shoes, yes, amazing too, the quality is excellent, the materials are the best and the look is just too cool. But, man, they are torturing my feet! I'm a size 6 1/2 - 7 and I ordered a size 7, everything fits perfectly but the areas that rubs against the Achilles tendon and the little toe. This is the right size for me, so sizing is not a problem, also the width is perfect as I am a Medium (B), I have no calluses, corns, rough patches or any deformities that can change the profile of my feet either. But the stiffness of the leather on the Achilles Tendon area is giving me a lot of pain. I'm wearing three Band-Aids on each foot and still, it's very painful, so after two weeks of daily use and not improvement today I had to return home at lunch-time to change my shoes. I'm really hoping to find a way to soften these up without more pain, I love them, they are just the coolest shoes I own (besides my Chuck Taylors) but these are proving very difficult to tame. My suggestion for you will be to try them on and walk for a long while on a carpet or clean surface before wearing them outside, your feet may be very sensitive as well and these shoes are going to crush your soul.

In the first few weeks of wearing the Old Skools, I developed a small painful sort of blistery thing on the upper heel of my right foot. Turns out this isn't uncommon with new Old Skools. and either my skin there has hardened or I've sufficiently broken the shoes in, but they're comfortable now and honestly make me feel slightly cool while cruising around the city.

Solid casual shoe. Definitely comfortable. Tried the Chucks but almost no support, these are much softer and supportive. They are flat and without much arch support, but I have flat feet, works for me. They go with everything as well.

I like these shoes a lot, the back is a bit stiff initially so prepare for some rubbed and sore Achilles Tendons the first few wears.

Wanted something retro to wear with jeans. Ordered these Vans and Chucks. Wife made me return the Chucks because she said they were ugly and everybody else wears them. These Vans are a great classic shoe and look great. FYI for 1st time buyers, they have zero arch support, they will also hurt your Achilles tendon for about a week

I love how these shoes look! They are very comfortable except for the tab at the top of the heel that comes up a little high and has therefore rubbed a blister. But I am hoping they will soften up a bit as I wear them.

I really like these shoes, this is my third pair. The comfort - is maybe average at best (they're skate shoes, they're flat, no support). They last a reasonably long time - I'd say average on wear and tear. But above average on cool!

Great shoe, very comfortable. Takes a little while to break in and the leather around the heel might be tough at first but once the shoes are worn then you'll be very satisfied.

I like this shoe a lot. Haven't had them long and have received several compliments; they get noticed! I find then very comfortable for this type shoe, but they feel better to me if I wear thin socks. Own 3 pair of Vans and love them all.

I'm a 6' 5" male in my 20s who has difficulty finding kick around shoes in a size 15! These are exactly as described, old school!

Shoes were great besides back. The back of the shoe curves into the back of your ankle and cuts it although after a few days of wearing the shoes you won't feel it any more.

This shoe is something you should purchase. They are comfortable, durable, and stylish. I've bought a pair two years ago and wore them on an everyday bases to school and I still wear them. They are still in a nice condition. I recently bought three more pairs in different colors to take to college with me and know I won't need to buy another pair of Vans in an immense amount of time.

Painful to break in and got scarred at my Achilles' heel on one foot. Otherwise, it is now a comfortable sneaker and I love how they look! I have wide feet and I didn't have trouble with the width of the shoe. True to size.

Purchased a black pair. Looks exactly how it does in the picture. No complaints other than it is not true to size. In comparison to my other pair of Vans (which are all size 7.5), this pair is very small. My old Vans appear to be huge sitting next to these. But I have a feeling they will break in over time.

They're beautiful, but the line of material around the outside above the sole is already starting to crack and wear after about a month. Love the shoes & they look great, but you'll be replacing them after 6 months.

Obviously, this is the classic skate shoe. However, this shoe is as basic as they come, very little support, very little cushion. More style than function.

Old Skool cool! These sneaks look great with jeans or shorts. Great for walkin' around town or just hangin' by the beach. Love 'em!

I've always liked classic Vans. Some of the materials are on the cheap side. The faux leather inner padded collar feels like plastic. Though the soles are good, solid, and feel like they will put up with abuse. Overall pretty happy.
