Wish it was truly authentic - The shoe fits wonderfully and looked as expected. The shoe showed signs of wear very quickly. Cracking at the flex part of the sole came after about a month. I've had them for over a year and they look like I bought them in 1984. The heels started to tear, so did the inside by the big toe. All I do in these shoes is walk. I bought a pair of Vans in SF in 1995 and they are in much better shape than these. Are they worth 44 bucks? Yeah, if you don't wear them every day. Not Zappos' fault. I'll bet anything these Van's aren't made to the same standards--or in the same place--as the old ones.

Comfortable straight out of the box. Not sure why others aren’t getting the same but mine felt good straight away. They’re not running shoes of course and the vulcanized rubber requires some break-in, but they’re no where near as bad as Chuck’s are in that regard, in my opinion.

These definitely didn't run big for me, which really surprises me because unisex sizes always seem to be too big for me. I'm a 7.5 in ladies so I got the men's size 6 per the chart. Before they came, I was actually planning for them to be too big. To my surprise, if anything, they are a bit snug. My fear was that the heel at my ankle was going to leave a blister. Do yourself a favor before you throw them back in the box to send back because you think they are small - put these on with some no-show socks and wear around the house for a while. Be sure to bend the back down into the shoe about 15 times each shoe before you put them on. They aren't leather, but they somehow form to your foot after heating up and walking in them. In about 2 hours I've gone from thinking these were too snug to walk anywhere in and might give blisters to these are total keepers and fit perfect. I got the wine color with black laces which I'm absolutely in love with. I will wear these with black leggings a lot, and shorts, and dresses, and skirts, and jeans - especially black jeans. I would post a picture but the photo does not do the color justice at all. Love these! Are they a comfy as Allbirds? no. Are they comfortable enough? yes. More versatile than something like an Allbirds.

Fit is right on. I put these on and was able to wear them without getting blisters. I'm not a sneaker wearer and these are great! They match everything in an effortless way.

Love these shoes. They are great for running. I plan on using them for my next 10K.

I am a 7.5 and the 7.5 Vans fit perfectly. I think in general, Vans are very true to size. I don't think that Vans are super comfortable, but I knew that before I bought these shoes. These are great shoes just to go out to dinner or look nice in, but they are not great for a lot of walking. I was particularly impressed by the shipping and how fast my shoes got here. I ordered them on a Saturday night and they had arrived by the following Wednesday in the late morning.

I love vans! And I been using them for a while!!! So I already know how they work and fit !! I love them !!!

I love these shoes! I used to wear this same style when I was in high school— I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to go back to the original classic canvass shoe. I take the laces out- they don’t slip off and I’m not bothered by laces. Felt one full size bigger. I usually wear women’s size 8, I bought these in women’s size 7 and they fit like a glove.

If you've worn vans before these fit true to vans sizes, which I've found to be true to size but a little bit tight, not tight enough to bump up a size but if you teeter between half sizes I'd go with the larger. For example I'm between 10.5 and 11 and I'm a snug 11 in these.

I usually wear a 6.5 but they were too big so I exchanged them for the woman’s 6 and they are perfect! My favorite shoe now. ??

all of my shoes fit true to size and i couldn’t be even happier. at first, i had some thoughts seeing as i’ve read everyone’s comments before purchasing.. but i do have small feet and just went with my gut. i’m always going to order from zappos. hell, they’re a much cheaper price and shipping is free. thank you, zappos.

Fit was nice. However, it is definitely not durable for skateboarding. I’m planning to buy old skool vans for skating instead. Overall, awesome shoes for everyday use.

Bought these for my 22yo daughter, her second pair in white, since they were her favorite last school year. Comfortable and cute with skirts and dresses at college in rural Vermont.

Comfortable shoe

I have many other colors in vans, and I just ordered the white and I'm in love! I have been searching for a clean, white shoe to wear for Spring/Summer and this is perfect. I am worried about how dirty the are going to get as opposed to leather/faux leather, but I tried on dozens of other white sneakers and I just kept coming back to these. Very happy with my purchase and it arrived even faster than Amazon Prime! Always impressed by the shipping and return process from Zappos!
