I really wanted to like this shoe after positive reviews. Little about me: I wear leather shoes for a living, business attire everyday so I have a slight idea on quality. I bought these shoes for a wedding, arrived promptly looked really sharp on a light grey suit. The wedding lasted half a day, danced for 2-3 hours, went to another venue for drinks. All in all, wearing them from 1pm to 3am. I never felt like my shoes were killing me so they were comfortable. At the end of the day, my shoes looked like it went through war and I did not even get drunk. A lot of wrinkles, a little deformed, and I even used a shoe tree after wearing. I expected more from this shoe, wish I chose a higher quality one and paid a little more.

Patent leather??? These shoes say black, and they are. However, they are patent leather, which have a much different purpose than I bought them for. As a formal shoe, excellent I guess.
