Everything nice but I was looking at that shoe to go on sale but to no avail. I broke down and purchased it.

I absolutely love the classic style of the shoe and the fact that it has remained constant for decades. I really do get quite a few compliments on the shoe. The shoe is comfortable to walk in. The left shoe cuts into the back of my leg and rubs it kinda raw, but for now I just place a band aid in that spot as I suspect that this annoyance will cease with wear.

This is my second pair of Stacy-Adams and I absolutely love this boot. I like wearing it with jeans, though it certainly fits a classic dressier profile as well. I've only received the new pair today so I'll need to wear them a while to really get accustomed to them. Right out of the box I am finding them comfortable to walk in. However, for some reason the left shoe wants to cut into the back of my leg when I walk. Not good. I have place a band aid on that particular spot so hopefully the shoe will break in quickly and that issue will resolve itself.

Great shoes for fans of The Knick. They are loud at first because of the leather, but that goes away after a week or so. These shoes definitely stand out because of the classic style.

I've worn this shoe since high school (over 40 years). I will continue to wear it. This shoe is extremely comfortable. It looks good and consistently gets compliments. I wear it with a suit as well as with jeans. There is no situation where this shoe is out of place. I keep a blue pair at all times. (The ladies seem to love it!).

The shoes are light weight but solid feeling when I walk in them. I had to reorder them because they run a 1/2 size too big. Great service center though and the right size was delivered. These are quality shoes even if they aren't made in America. Looking forward to breaking them in.

I am a person who prides himself in stylishness, and I am most often dressed on point. These boots are real attention getters, young and old, and I love them with one exception, which is; although I ordered aa wide (D) withe they are too tight near the arches of my feet. It is only fair to state that I ordered another pair in brown and this problem did not exist.

I've worn this style dress shoe since 1969. Everybody that sees this style comments favorably - if that's important to you. The shoe store where I used to buy them went out of business after 100 years so I bought these on-line. Fits GREAT looks GREAT! The only thing about the leather soul, when new, has a tendency to be slippery on certain carpets. My other pair of Stacy Adams, same style, are now every day shoes. But the new pair are for dress. Not to complain tho, the white stitching around the sole is hard to keep clean so I usually dye it black.

To Stacy: I have purchased all but the Blue Madison and the High Button Grey Madison which are very similar to your Madison with the laces and the clips. I wear these for evening wear and for work regarding the course I teach 1880s-1920. Recommendation for the following: Madison High Button Shoe Black Lowers and Red Uppers Madison High Button Shoe Grey Lower and White Uppers These were the styles of the Victorian Age where men's shoes had great fashion and style. I have suits to match each Madison with a walking stick/cane and people and students think this is fantastic because of their lack of familarity with the time period. Think About It! Great for a formal night out, or to church, either/or even on a motorcycle. Used dancing as well. Dressy, comfortable. My 4th pair.

Return to sewn soles...Madison Boots should have more available colors.

Wanted class and style. I know I got both.

THESE SHOES ARE DOPE

Bought these to wear pretty much every day. They seem stiff at first, but it takes a surprisingly short amount of time to wear them in. Definitely a great formal-looking boot that you can wear day-to-day. Only drawback is that the shoe laces that come with the shoe are way too short. Swing out to the store and buy some that are between 50" and 60".
