Nice shoes. Very stiff and digging so far. Hope they soften up.

A very nice looking shoe. The shoelaces are terrible - too short and don't stay tied. I just don't think overall the shoe was worth the money.

Disappointed in color of shoes was expecting more of a lighter burgundy( like a wine color ). Instead this is more of a dark chocolate brown with a hint of burgundy. I still need a true lighter burgundy so I'll keep looking.

I ordered two pair of shoes brown and black size 14 EE. The shoes are perfect fit however the black pair has a significant defect in the stitching in the toe area and I have to send them back for a replacement pair and I am so disappointed that Stacy Adams would send such a product out. I am preparing to return the black shoes tomorrow via UPS using the return label. Heads up Stacy quality should still be your final product.

The shoes look nice, but not as well made. The sizeing was off on the pair that I received. They were more narrow than expected and even after tightening the laces my foot would slide forward and not stay where the heal should be. So I returned them. I purchased the Dickinson's and love them. The insole and lining overall are better than the Madison. Unfortunately they do not make the Dickinson with a hardleather sole which was the reason I purshased the Madison style. I may try ordering another pair smaller and in wide, but having to pay for the shipping again if I need to return them again makes me want to wait.

The only issue is how to polish them without losing the contrast of the white stitching????

I bought these for my son, who needs dress shoes to wear occasionally for a couple of hours at a time. When I took them out of the box, I immediately noticed that there is no cushion to them at all. My son said they were not comfortable. We will be returning them.

the style is the best. but it used to be if you had a quality product, you would get quality business. Nowadays you just find a product and mass produce it, then correct the defects later after revenue (money) is successful

Look good, fit well.. until you wear them for a while. The leather starts cracking and they just look cheap after just a few weeks of wear.

Aside from fit being a bit long, the "welt" or top of the sole is not dyed or lacquered in a cherry color as indicated in the pictures. The color is a bright natural leather that contrasts a bit too much with the black shoe. The quality of leather is also quite disappointing. It seems like a bonded leather and is very thin and brittle. For the price, I expected better materials.

Good looking shoe. Zappos was completely willing to send me a different size (for free) after the first didn't fit. I have wide feet and the EE fits great. On the downside, the leather isn't the best quality. It is thin, and hard, thus cracking and breaking when you wear them. I was quite disappointed with this. Also, wearing them in the winter was a major mistake. I have dress shoes that can survive the snow after a nice wipe down, but these absorbed all of the elements (salt, water, etc.) and I'm having a hard time scrubbing it off and polishing over it. This may be the case for many different dress shoes, but all in all, the leather is a disappointment.

Seems nit picky but... why arn't these supplied with "DRESS WAXED LACES"? The laces which came with these were terrible! Nice looking shoe, comfortable, lightweight, had to size down one full size for fit, longevity unknown, never purchased S.A.'s before. If they hold up well, I would probably purchase again since they are reasonably priced and look good.

The shoes are striking in appearance and comfortable on the first wear. I do not get a sense of real lasting quality, however. The leather seems thin and the laces are sub-par. If you approach shoes as a years long investment, these are not for you. If you expect to look good and feel good for a short time before moving on, you will be pleased.

Overall a decent shoe. The leather is paper thin and wrinkles fast. Shoelace unites a lot as lace is ultra thin and smooth. Very comfortable though. Probably won't last a few more months. They are 4 months old and look like they are years old. I only wear twice per week. I wear 15.

I am happy with the overall look of the shoe, at a distance. But up close, they do not seem well assembled. I have bought cheaper shoes that did not have the loose threads paint chipped from the eyelets. The heel pad seems like it is glued in. I expected more value for the price.

These shoes have a casual look to them; not something I realized when buying them over the net. Had I known, I would not have bought 2 pair (Brown/Black). The white stitching over light brown sole stands-out too much & I plan to dye it black with heel & sole dressing. Each shoe is not symetrical but curved; I'm sure it's for comfort but looks odd. The reptile imprint is low quality and aids in giving the shoe it's overall cheap appearance. A big "pro" for this shoe is that the heal is cusioned and allows for a quiet step. The leather sole needs something to grip the ground because it makes some surfaces extremely slippery. This is my first purchase of Stacy Adams since I was a teen & this is definitely not the quality of shoe I remember. I would not have bought these shoes if I saw them in person.

3rd time's a charm - Having bought two other colors of this model, the black one fit! The looks are good, although the different coloring on the edges of the sole are somewhat distracting in all three I've bought. Look out for the patent leather black - I mean how often am I going to wear them? Twice so far!

They Squeak! Not the soles, but the leather. I polished them before wearing, but they still squeaked so I had to buy a leather conditioner. After 3 applications the squeaking is nearly gone. Whew! The look is pretty nice, but because the leather is very shiny it almost looks like its not real leather. Also, when you look down at the shoe the leather eade of the sole is tan, not black. I'm sure that's part of the design, but you can't see it from the photos and it gives the shoe a much more casual look than the pictures would indicated. I usually wear a 13 but had to return that size for a size 12 EEE.

Comfort & look - Stacy Adams shoes have allways been in a class by themself. I remember as a kid saving my money to buy stacy adams shoes. When as young boys we allways tried to keep from getting any polish on the white stiching on the bottom of the shoes.

Great looking, but squeaky and stiff - The look is ultimate killer classic, couldn't be better. And the color choice is killer, too! But the Madison is a squeaky, stiff shoe. I have a pair in Taupe, it's starting to break in nicely. I'd be willing to pay $100.00 to $150.00 more if they would be better built. That said, I shall still buy more Stacy Adams Madisons in more colors, I'm sure. A perfed cap-toe is my favorite style, even beating out wingtips by far.

It just feels cheap. Thin, cheap feeling leather, shoelaces that are too short and cheap seeming, permanent creases all over in the leather the literal second you even try them on. Also too shiny, like they're made to wear with a tuxedo. I can't wear them in a business casual setting which is what I bought them for, so it's an L for me.
