Excellent - Excellent!! This is the second pair that I purchased. The velcro system is secure, safe and easy to handle for people with problems with the hands. The sole gives you good support.

Perfect for my elderly father - My dad has Alzheimer's disease and it got to the point where he couldn't remember how to tie his shoes. These Hush Puppies were the perfect solution. He says they are very comfortable, but more importantly, he no longer experiences the frustration and humiliation of being unable to put on his shoes by himself. This small victory, however fleeting, is a godsend. Thanks Hush Puppies and thanks Zappos.

These were purchased for our son who is paralyzed on his right due to a stroke. These work great for him to get into due to the large opening. They look great with his nice dress clothes and he says they are very comfortable.

Great Shoe - My husband needs assistance getting his shoes on and this one goes on with ease. It can open up quite a bit if necessary to slip on. The shoe is light weight and is a plus for people who have difficulty walking.

Hush Puppies Gil - I ordered these for my Dad and he loves him. I am going to get him other colors, too. They run comfortably true to size. He told me to get 11-11 1/2. I bought 11 and they are very comfortable. Few nice looking velcro types around. Nice leather too.

Great Shoes - My husband needed a shoe that can be quick in an airport security line, needs Triple EEE and does not cause blisters. This one is great for all point.

Comfort - I am retired and a diabetic. This is my fourth pair of these shoes. Obviously I am very satisfied with the shoe. Support and cushioning were great and my prescription inserts fit perfectly. The velcro closure allowed me to avoid laces. Prior to Zappos, I had to drive 70 miles to get these shoes at a discount mall. Zappos price was competitive and the convenience was great.

Hush Puppy Gil - This shoe was purchased for my father-who recently broke his hip and is going through rehab. The shoe was very light weight and was extremely easy to put on and remove. Great price and quality.

Great shoes - super comfortable shoe! Shoes are so light you can hardly tell you have them on, they felt like old friends as soon as I put them on. I am very pleased with these shoes. I can see more Hush Puppies in my future.

Great shoe for my father - I heard about Zappos and went to the site to look for comfortable shoes that were easy to put on and supportive for my father. He has had a few strokes and has difficulty with his dexterity and walking. I ordered the shoes and had them sent directly to him. They arrived a few days later and he loves them. My mother asked me how did I know what to get and I told her that it was largly through the comments that I read about these Hush Puppies that I ordered them. Ordered a 9.5 W - The shoes are tight on top, even when the Velcro Closer is loosened.

Comfortable shoe - This is the second pair of these Hush Puppies Gils bought for my husband. He loves the comfort and the casual good looks.

Good shoe, great service - I have diabetes with neuropathy in the toes and this shoe fits good. Hard to find a size and width that will fit me. Great service too!

Comfort for wide feet - I bought these for my husband who is a diabetic and has wide feet and problems with swelling. The shoe has been a big hit with him. He swears they are supper comfortable. Only drawback is the look is not too fashionable.

Comfort from the Start - I bought these shoes for my 87 year old father, who needs a big box at the toe because his toes have curled under. Most shoes scrape the top of his toes. But these were a perfect and comfortable fit, right from the start.

A Real Comfort Shoe - My husband has diabetes and walks with a cane due to a bad knee. The Gil is light in weight, gives good support. The Velcro allows him to adjust the shoe if he has swelling. It is tough and long wearing; does not scuff easily. It is a great shoe.

Big Foot - Size 14 and finally found a shoe that feels good.

A very satisfactory shoe - I purchased them for my husband just before we left to go on vacation. He says they are very comfortable and fit well. They aren't the most beautiful shoes, but we realize that is because they are made for comfort. They look larger than most shoes and you have to get used to that.

Super Comfort - These shoes are fantastic, if you can get past the ugly forefoot. They have held up very well. I like them so well I am willing to pay full price and consider myself lucky to find them at all.

Comfy shoes - My husband loves this shoe, in fact it's his third pair. He wears orthodics and the velcro closure is great for that. Even the podiarist thought they were great.

Liked the 1st pair so much I got a 2nd - I have a wide and somewhat odd shaped foot and have great difficulty finding shoes that are comfortable. The Gil is the most comfortable shoe I have purchased in many years. I wear one pair for around the house and outside work and wear the other pair for going in to town. Definitely a 5-star shoe, in my opinion.

Hush Puppies's Are The Best - My husband wears a 15E shoe. With his feet/ankle problems it's impossible to find shoes that he can wear without pain. Dr. Scholl's discontinued making his shoe size. He went into a panic. It's the only shoes he could wear. So, I ordered the Hush Puppies Gil. We hit the jack pot. The shoes fit perfectly. They where comfortalbe and stylish. He was able to wear them with no pain and no break in time. This was trully a miracle. Thanks,
