I love these boots. They look great and are comfortable. I wear them all the time. I did have to order a half size smaller than usual. Even a half size smaller, I can still wear wool socks with them.

Love Zappos! Ordered my boots 11pm on Monday and was shocked to have them in hand by 3pm Tuesday! The best customer service in the world! Now, about the boots. Okay, I read many reviews, half size larger, smaller, etc. and It was hard to decide, since I usually wear an 8.5 or 9, depending on boot. I went with 8.5 and they fit great. Little slip in heel, but I understand this is characteristic of Fryes in general. For the heck of it I went by Nordstrom to see if 8 was a better fit and couldn't even get my arch into the boot! Not even remotely possible (FYI, I have a long narrow foot). Given all the reviews about "larger than marked" I was quite surprised by this. I expected to at least get the 8 on and have it be tight. My observation is this boot is "roomy" by design. (the 8.5 had plenty of room in toe box for my long narrow toes). Love this boot! Great comfort right out of the box...classic look and will get years of wear! Yay! Zappos rocks! Thank you!

This is a fabulous boot! Bought them for my trip to TX in December and ended up in a torrential downpour of rain while wearing them. They stretched out a bit but other than that, no harm done! Beautiful color, too! After reading other reviewers' recommendations to buy smaller, I did just that. Bought a half size smaller and probably could've gone down a full size. But, the size I went with is very comfortable. Love this boot!

Wow! Just received my 2nd pair of Frye boots in the crazy horse color. They are simply gorgeous! The best part is they fit like a dream. 10 stars plus for these boots and Frye!

Beautiful boots. My wife has wanted a pair of these for over a year. I have worn this style boot for over ten years off and on. They are very classic and yet modern. Get them if you are on the fence!!

I usually wear a 7, but with these a 6 1/2 fit better. They are surprisingly comfortable the minute you put them on. I've always wanted a pair, and they are well worth the money. I love them!

I love these boots! I ordered these for myself for Christmas. I wear a size eight but I ordered a 7 1/2. A few of the reviews recommended ordering a half size smaller than your normal shoe size. I am so glad I did because the boots fit great. It is a perfect fit with a pair of warm socks. Everyone I know loves my boots. Great purchase!

Loved these Frye in Old Town Grey! Great color and love the distressed look. These ran a little larger in size on the left foot. Was quickly sent another pair as only Zappos can! Am thankful to Zappos quick service. Amazing next day on my porch! I had two boxes of boots the same size in front of me and only the right foot fit on one pair. The 2nd pair, both were a half size large so I'm sure Frye mis-marked the size. Love Frye boots, though a little tricky getting the size just right. Thinking I may need a 7 in this color. I would definitely order this boot again. It's awesome. Zappos service can't be beat, they kept my orders coming right on time through the busiest holiday season! That's outstanding service.

My wife has been jonesing for these since High School...35 years ago! She's very pleased with them.

I usually don't write reviews but I decided to for the Frye Harness Boot and because of Zappos. Their customer service is absolutely amazing. I am a true size 10 but the 10 and 9 were both too big, so I've exchanged them for the 9. You can't go wrong with this boot. Looks great with skinny jeans, and they are timeless! This is my second pair of Fryes and I will be purchasing more.

I know you don't really need another review, but this is my first pair and I'm a real Frybaby now! I want more! I spent hours reading reviews and finally ordered my own size. Perfect! Now, I want this boot in red, crazyhorse and black. I love these boots!

I love these boots. These boots are insanely cute with skinny jeans. This boot requires no breaking in at all! I ordered a half-size down, and my heel still slips a bit, even when wearing thick winter wool socks.

I adore these boots. I've been pining after them for years and finally got up the nerve to buy them for myself. Important, a good portion of the reviews on this site tell you these run half a size big, so I bought both a 9 and an 8.5 to test this theory, even though I am almost always a 9. I contemplated for days over which size fit me better. The 8.5 didn't fit anything more than just tights, but the 9 felt a little big. Note that my heel slipped in both but doesn't as much now that the boots are a bit more worn in. In the end, I went with the 9. I wear thicker socks or add a very slim insert if I wear tights. I have worn them everyday but one since, I wear them to work with a skirt and tights, on the weekend with jeans (both over and under). I got the crazy horse color--a perfect choice for someone who wears a lot of shades of brown. You won't regret this purchase, they are comfortable, sexy and kickin' boots. If you are worried about sizing, go ahead and buy two sizes and walk around your house for a couple days in both, wearing whatever you would most wear under your boots. It gives you the best perspective on what fits best.

Although I just received my boots yesterday, I was compelled to write because I absolutely love them!!! The things I was most concerned about, all turned out okay. I wasn't sure what size to order as some reviews said they ran 1/2 size bigger. I ordered my regular size shoe 9 1/2 and they fit perfect. Another concern was the color. I wanted black, but didn't want the boots to look brand spankin' new, so I ordered the olive. Fearing that they would look too green, I was so happy to see that they looked like a well worn black, not green at all. And the loose fit in the heel, yes, this is true. The heel is loose, but I have a pair of professional Dansko's ("rocker" style shoe) and I'm used to the loose fitting heel, so this does not bother me. Finally, could I get my foot in this boot? I had read that some people really had a hard time. But my foot went in just fine, I'd say "snug" going in, certainly not "tight". Now, I have the total urge to buy two more pair just like this, in wheat and tan. Start saving!!

Exactly what I hoped! These boots are so great- they are comfortable and super cool. The fit dead on. The only thing I'd mention is that if you have a small calf (which I do) you may notice that the shaft flops around some. Nothing major, but it is something to consider if you were thinking about wearing these with a skirt instead of jeans.

Outstanding! My first purchase via Zappos & WOW! I read all the reviews before ordering & was alittle nervous about the sizing. My feet run a little narrow, so I ordered the size I usually take. They fit perfectly. NO break in time. The softest leather & 'made for my feet' fit. I am not kidding you, they feel like a soft gloves on your feet. They put my husband into a coma!!!! To say he loved them on me would be an understatement. More "girlie" then they look online. Great with my skirts & my jeans. Worth every damn penny.

Frye Harness 12R W Tan - These are great boots. This is my first pair of Frye boots and I love them--they are so comfortable and look really good with jeans. They felt a little big, but I bought some thick socks to wear with them and now they are perfect. Buy them!

Frye Harness - The boots didn't look like I thought they would with the jeans I have. I sent them back last week.

Country/Biker Cool - These boots look awesome and the quality is excellent. My only gripe is that they tend to run a little big, and even in a size that fits overall, the heel still slides. I have found this to be the case w/ all the Frye's I've tried. But they look great and are very sturdy.

AWESOME! This boot looks so sexy but when I first saw it I was not sure it would go on my foot because it didn't have a Zipper. Sure enough it did! And better yet it feels good with it on!! Zappos you guys rock! I ordered it yesterday and here it is today. I made a special request about wanting it bad today (riding on the motorcycle tomorrow morning to New Hope, PA) & you folks did just as you promised. I will spread the word and plan on being a loyal customer (this is my second purchase). KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK ZAPPOS!

Awesome boots! First time at Zappos and I am so impressed! Saw these boots first in high end department store for $20.00 more. Very true to size and very comfortable. Have wore them for twelve hours straight and never hurt. Heel comes up a tad when walking, but not annoying. I LOVE my boots!

I would go about a size lower than you would normally wear.

Real Troopers - These boots are worth the investment. I've own and worn mine for over a year now; they're still like new. Also, I'm a biker, so these boots pass the wear test with flying colors. Ladies, especially if you ride, you need these boots! Also, Heel "slip" is normal for any good boot.

The "UGG" of this Fall - This boot elevates the "cool" factor of my shoe collection. Amazing looking boot although other reviews are correct--runs a little big and heel is a little wide.

Frye's Harness 12R W - I have wanted a pair of Frye harness boots for a long time. I love these boots. The quality is worth the money. They are a great casual look with jeans and skirts. They will be a big part of my wardrobe.
