Love these boots. This was my first purchase from Frye and I was a little worried, but after I got them I knew I made the right decision. They were a little snug at first but after I wore them for a day they felt great! They are very comfortable and very stylish, too! Thanks Zappos!

Comfortable, soft leather. I love the khaki color, it goes with everything. This boot looks great with a casual skirt or with jeans. It fits a little wide, so it's perfect for someone with a C-width foot even though it's not wide-width. I'd definitely buy this again.

I love these boots! The leather is super high quality and the finish is very cool. They are really comfy. I went sightseeing all through Victoria, BC the first time I wore them and my feet felt great!

Loved the boots! I've been wearing them at least 3-4 times a week and I'm on my feet all day. I have to say I did go and purchase good orthotics which makes all the difference.

Best boot ever. You want it to be snug when you buy it because they will stretch out as they break in. If you buy loose to begin with, they will get too loose eventually.

Great pair of boots! Look hot, not too cowgirl, and the distressed color of the leather adds a little charm to them. Overall great purchase. And Zappos delivered them for free in less than 24 hours after I purchased them! Simply amazing!

Fantastic. These boots are my very favorite I've ever owned. Pricing was very fair too. The Crazy horse colored leather is what drew me to them also: it is a distinct color and texture. The leather on each pair is comprised of variations: I really liked the second pair due to the smoothness, and so I id return the first pair due to the "crinkled nature" of the leather. The second size 9 I received the other day are nicer colored: one has some of the crinkled darker brown, but overall, the imperfections (as with all fine leather goods) are less obvious: I mean, more homogeneous and "smoother" looking. Very gorgeous colored! Each boot is a bit different colored and textured; but very gorgeous leather: very high quality and very attractive. I like the fit: I am very pleased because the toe box looks narrow: but he fit is really good so far. Wearing them daily and no pain breaking them in. I've had five foot surgeries due to being a runner, and so I was a bit worried about the toe box being narrow: but they seem really OK. I got the 9 versus the 8.5 and I think it was wise to go to 9. (In Keen boots I go to 9.5: boot sizes for me are often hard to judge on the Internet.) I usually go for 8.5-9 so I am glad I got the size 9. The 9.5 was way too big. I have just mailed these back: I experienced "sliding in the heel" (too big, and it felt almost painful on my foot). The grain of the leather: a bit too crinkled. The smoother look better. I returned the first pair of n9's because the "crinkled texture" was also darker in color and too darkly obvious: although the toe box was a smooth light brown. So, overall, the pair I kept are great and I really love them. I am getting tons of compliments on them every day I wear them (no pain either, breaking them in )...wow! These are my first pair of Frye boots ever: I feel like a late-bloomer of a cowgirl! They look really cute with skirts, or shorts, cute with dress performance rock 'n roll outfits (show woman-ship). Great for my work: geologist. Not field work boots: but great for office or casual meetings! Overall, I can't believe I waited this long to purchase Frye boots: I am in love at first pair! Thanks! And Zappos, thank you for assisting with the returns: this was my first return experience with Zappos, and even my UPS guy Barry said you guys make returns really easy: you e-mailed me the labels and helped every step of the way! Thanks so much!

I have been waiting for months for the right size of these boots! They finally arrived and I am in love. The color, Dark Brown Crazy Horse is perfect with subtle brown variations. The size (7) is close to my true size, and although I realize my R foot is bigger than my L, the R boot fits snugly but has already stretched a tiny bit to be very comfortable. I'm wearing them at work straight out of the box with thin socks and they are so cute and comfy.

My shoe size is 7.5, and I usually wear Frye Boots in size 8 with insoles for comfort (I own 6 pairs of Frye boots, and this is the 7th pair). I got this boots in size 8 (Khaki Old Town), and even though I don't put insoles, the size is just light size. It means they are a half size smaller. When my friend tried these boots, she also said they are a half size smaller than the other Frye Harness. Other customer said in the review, it depends on a color. Maybe 'Khaki Old Town' is smaller / harder than the other colors. (My Frye Harness Cuff is much softer than these.) Anyways, I love the Frye Harness, so next time I will buy Tan Vintage Leather!

These boots look and feel awesome; I get compliments on them all the time. My advice would be to try your true size first. I tried on one size above, based on other comments, and the boot hurt my foot in the arch. My true size felt snug at first, but the fit made my arch much better and made the shoe extremely comfortable to wear.

I purchased these awesome boots in red last fall, for my 42nd birthday. It was a huge investment for me, and also a big decision. I thought about it for over a year, probably five years or more. Maybe twenty years. Anyway, I get tons of compliments on them, the red is not too overpowering... They were a bit uncomfortable during the breaking period on my little toe, but they stretched. There is little or no support, I suppose some could be added. I have scuffed them up a bit, but it adds to the look of the boots. I have worn them all over the great northeast, all winter long... And we have had some nasty storms this past winter. They didn't have any salt damage, and I didn't once fall when I was wearing them, so that was a plus. I did purchase the spray last week, so I will spray them, probably a little late for that, but better late then never I suppose. Anyway, if you are looking for comfort, you really won't find it in these. I personally have not ever had any blisters or anything, just sore feet at the end of a long day, nothing I can't live without. I will continue to wear them, and continue to purchase Fryes. I have had worse.

The ultimate kick-a motorcycle boot! You instantly gain 2 degrees of toughness in these! They're remarkably comfortable. They run slightly bigger (just slightly) so you can wear half size smaller with thin socks. Width is nice, not too narrow. They pull on easily and look good in or out of jeans. The leather is super thick and great quality. I've had mine 3 years and still love them! You don't go wrong with Frye.

Oh, how I love these boots! I initially bought a size 9 (I'm usually a solid size 9) but it was way too big so ordered a size 8.5. The 8.5 that came felt like they were two different sizes so I sent them back for another size 8.5 - perfect! They were comfortable right away.

So glad I finally bought these boots! And I'm also grateful for the reviews I read on Zappos. Most of the reviewers noted that the boots run large, so I ordered a half size smaller than the 9 I usually wear and they are perfect. I wore them almost every day for the first week and they have broken in nicely. The tan color is exactly as pictured. I also bought the Frye leather conditioning spray, which actually improved the nice, worn in look. I plan to buy a pair in black soon. Lastly, Zappos' service is excellent - the boots arrived 2 days after I ordered them!

I also had been admiring these for a while and finally decided to get them. It was my first pair of Fryes so I wasn't sure what size to order. I am normally an 8.5-9, but I decided to listen other reviewers and get an 8. When I got them it was almost impossible to get my foot in (I have a high arch). I was worried they would be too small because I couldn't get my heel down. Finally I got it and once on it actually was a little roomy. But I love the boots and I think after some wear they will become easier to get on.

I have waited along time to finally own a pair of Frye boots. They are everything I imagined and more. Beautiful to look at, a great fit. I have wide feet and yet I broke them in painlessly in one day. I am in love!

Love Frye boots. Have bought three pair in the last 6 months - two pairs of 12R harness, and one pair of Heath outside zip 12Rs. They are great for me, because I have large calves and have trouble finding boots that fit and look great. The Harness run about a half size too large. The Heath outside zip is true to size. I bought the harness in black and tan. The leather softness varies depending on color. The black is much softer than the tan. Frye boots are amazingly comfortable. I can walk or stand all day in both styles. I thought the lower heel on the Heath would translate to more comfort, but the heel on the harness - although higher - is just as comfortable. They are so comfortable that I am planning to wear these on my Europe trip!

These boots were a splurge for me, and worth every cent! I love the color and look of the leather, and I can wear them all day comfortably. I was sick of wearing black boots with everything...these are a great addition to my wardrobe.

Wow! My first my pairs of Fryes were the "Tan" ones. Boy, did they hurt! I had to get them stretched twice, and they still are stiff. Seven years present, I braved and got the "black" ones I had coveted over years. They are a softer leather, and not breaking my feet as I wear them. I still love the "Tan" colored ones, but the leather is different. I praise the "black", and suggest going down half a size.

Size 7.5 has a circumference of 15.5. I almost didn't order these boots but I'm glad I did! I love these. I typically wear a 7.5 and these boots feel a little big but I don't think a 7 would fit. The leather does give so getting them on and off becomes easier.

I have had mine for 14 years and they have worn like iron and are super comfortable. They have worked their way down in my closet to work boots and are still going strong. I still get lots of compliments on them - from contractors no less! Frye is top quality, mine were quite a bit less fourteen years ago.
