Love these boots but they run 0.75" longer and a size narrower than older releases. Unfortunately, they don't make a 5W so I'm out of luck.

For my ladies with high arches they are little tough to get on and you might think you have a size too small. The foot bed is true to size. I wear an 8 1/2 and they were spot on. I suggest really doing your best to work your foot through the shaft into the boot and then wearing them around for a full day. By the time you take them off you’ll be able to slip your foot right in next time, The narrow part having expanded a bit with wear. This is some thing I struggle with this brand of boots often but these ones actually weren’t too bad After the first time I wear them. Are you sure the men’s version of these and loved them. The ladies are just slightly more feminine and less clunky. They’re great..

I love these boots. I am returning them because I don't think I will wear them enough to justify. I wish I could and know myself well enough to know I will end up ordering them again.

I didn't mind paying $398 for a pair of american made Frye boots. They arrived quickly and I was so excited to see the box on my doorstep when I arrived home. The left boot fit perfectly. I couldn't even get the right one on. I put the boots side by side and I could see the right boot was shorter, the instep was lower and the heel cup was smaller than the left. The writing on the inside of the left boot, was bright and legible. The writing on the inside of the right boot was worn away. I felt like they were not even a matched pair. I returned them the next day. Heartbreaking that a company like Frye boots has such shabby workmanship. Shame on you.

I loved these boots, but they are not made for my feet. I have a wide toe box, high arch, and a fat heal. If you have a narrow foot and not a high arch, these will work for you. Trying to get my foot into this fabulous boot was akin to giving birth. I bought a shoe horn, but for boots and it did help.

I wish these came in a wide width! I tried ordering up 1/2 size, but the fit was just too narrow. It breaks my heart to have to return these; I've wanted a really great pair of boots for a long time. Guess it will just be a longer time.

First off, I love these boots. They are well made and beautiful. I have a wide foot with a high arch. Getting my foot into the boot felt like giving birth. I got a boot horn (a long shoe horn) which made getting them on easier, (but still difficult). Second, the toe box area runs a bit narrow. This means that the front 1/3 of my foot felt squished. Now, if you have a more narrow foot and are used to a little heal, these boots are for you! I kept trying because I love them so, but each time I wear them, my feet ache.

Great Boots... little mix up with original order. Ordered these for my wife as a Christmas present. She had been looking for a pair of these boots for a long time, and the anticipation of her opening her present was awesome... BUT! When she opened the box, we found two right boots! She had somewhat or a broken heart. Zappos did a great job of getting her a left and right foot boot... and gave us a memorable Christmas for sure.

The boots look like frye harness boots but they were in a generic white box, not a zappos box and Amazon delivered them, with no tag at all and the white label on the inside wasn't there also the frye stamp under the heel looked different. I am not saying they are fake but... something felt off with them. They were too big anyway so I am returning.

LOVE these boots, I’ve had them for many years in black and brown. So comfortable. The only thing negative is that when I wear them with leggings, they tend to snag them a little. Solved it by wearing longer boot socks over the leggings. I even wear them without socks sometimes. Highly recommend! Many times I wear an 8, especially in pull on taller, boots but I got the 7 1/2 in both colors and they fit well.

Absolutely LOVE this boot! I have two other pair of Frye boots in a size 10 and was glad I ordered a half size smaller. The 9.5 fits great. I ordered the Smoke Old Town and the color is fabulous. Have worn them with leggings, jeans and pants and they are very comfortable. If you are looking for a boot that you can wear with everything, this is it.

I think something was wrong with the boots I received. The seams on the inside of the boot shaft have a smooth piece of finished leather that covers the seam, but the cover leather looked to have something on it (glue maybe?) or was in some other way degraded below the ankle. It was extremely rough and uncomfortable. On one side of one boot it was smooth and that part felt very comfortable, so I think that was how it was supposed to be.

Zappos is so awesome. I ordered these boots in black. I decided I wanted a more distressed color, so they let me exchange them for the charcoal color. I received a pair that had some scuffs on them, and they promptly sent me a new pair. Their customer service is amazing. About the boots- the leather is softer than my Frye Campus boots that I bought 15 years ago. Those were hard leather and still hurt my feet if I wear them too long because the toe box is narrow. I think Fryes tend to run on the small and narrow side. The harness boots have a lot more give to the leather, and so I believe they will be more comfortable. I also tend to order a 1/2 size up in boots now so that I can wear thicker socks. I have to wear very thin socks with my size 8 campus boots, but the size 8 1/2 harness boots allow me to have more room for thicker socks. There is a tiny bit of arch support. I have high arches so I really need an insert, but you can’t take out the existing one to add your own. I will tough it, though, out because I love them. The charcoal old town color is beautiful. The boots look more like a distressed black. I can’t wait for cooler weather to wear them!

These are beautiful boots. I happen to have very narrow/small calfs, & the height & width of these gorgeous babies were just too wide for me. Sadly, they are going back... :(((
