Not for my foot - Great boot, great service from Zappos. With this boot beware if you have a heavier calf - they won't fit - see the sizes - they are true. Bought a 7-1/2 and though they run true to size, they just won't fit my calf, which is about 1/2" larger than the size of the boot. Too tight!

I love these boots - I tried on about a dozen boots before I decided to spend the money to get the Frye harness boots. A lot of the cheaper boots I looked at were cute and fashionable but were cheaply made. These boots are really high quality and I expect they will last forever and they're not trendy. I think they will always be in style. They are very comfortable. I have a high arch so I use a shoehorn to get them on but after a while I probably won't have to. The Frye’s are a substantial boot! Thank you Zappos.

Pretty Darn Satisfied - I was definitely impressed with my pair of Frye boots. Not only do they look cool, but they are very comfortable and are suitable for wearing all day. But because they run large, I would suggest buying a half size smaller than you actually are.

Zappo's rocks! Love these boots. They are beautiful, fit like a dream and are well made. Definitely buy a half size smaller than you normally wear. I bought an 8, normally wear 8.5, and the 8 is perfect. I ordered on Saturday, the boots arrived on Tuesday. And they are perfect. After a bad experience on an online auction (boots were advertised as new adn were worn and damaged) I tried Zappos and will never go back.

Frye 12R W Black: Overall very pleased - The boots rub my outer ankles and were initially uncomfortable because of this. They are slowly becoming more comfortable in those areas with continued wear. The fit otherwise is perfect--no "breaking in" period neccessary for the feet. The craftsmanship is excellent. The footbed is made of a slightly springy material that really does add to the comfort and wearability. I was able to wear these boots right out of the box for a full nine hour workday where I'm on my feet all day. I know it was risky, but with my ankles preventively bandaged for that first day, I made it through the whole day with no blisters and happy feet. I've been wearing the boots pretty much every day since I got them.

Awesome- Even though mine are the belted harness boots, these boots are awesome. Seem to run a bit large, but are very comfortable right out of the box. And Zappos service is second to none. Thanks Zappos for being one of the last true customer satisfaction companies left. I will buy again, Tim

Frye Never Disappoints! I owned a pair of Frye Campus boots many years ago that were worn to death! I was looking for another pair of comfortable, great looking boots with a less pointy toe than my cowboy boots and found this pair by Frye in the perfect burnished gold color. I was so pleased with Zappos quick shipping- I received within 48 hours of my order! When I opened the box, the color was just beautiful, and the fit, perfect. I was also happy to see that Frye hasn't compromised their high quality in the making of this boot. They may be a little pricier than other look-alikes, but they are DEFINITELY worth it. I'm sure they will last for many years.

Frye Boots are Best- I'm a Texan, and as soon as my boots were out of the box, I packed them up for a weekend music festival in Austin. I was on my feet for nearly three straight days, and I think the boots fared better than I did. I wear an 8.5-9 and ordered an 8.5. They fit great, and I'm already saving my pennies for another pair.

The Best Boots Ever!!! These are the greatest boots, and I know I will wear them forever! They look great with jeans-really sexy-casual; I love that look. I used to have a pair of Frye boots in college so this takes me back. I loved them the minute I tried them on, and they are really comfortable. I went with the size 7; I have a moderately wide foot, and usually range between 7 and 7.5, and these were perfect. Thanks so much for the SPEEDY delivery!! I ordered them on Wednesday afternoon and I had them Friday in time for the weekend! YeeHaw!

One great pair of boots! I wanted a pair of boots that would easily go from casual to classic and these fit the bill. I have worn them with long skirts and tailored pants and felt they complimented both styles. I usually have trouble with boots because if they are worn enough to walk to work in (I live in Western NY) they are too warm to wear in doors. These boots though went from outside to inside and my feet were neither too cold nor too warm, and as a bonus, they are sooooo comfortable, a little stiff for the first wearing but by the third time I wore them they were broken in and comfy. I'd buy them again!

Awesome- Without a doubt, best boots ever. Very sturdy! The leather's very nice. I found them exactly true to size-I am a 7.5, ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. My roommate ordered hers a size up and found that too big. I have one foot that was broken years ago and healed oddly. Sometimes this makes boot wearing VERY painful! But not these! The leather fits around it wonderfully. BEST BOOT EVER.

Love these boots! I bought these boots in dark green over a year ago and had to keep myself from buying more! I now also have the tan color and love them just as much! Frye boots have the softest leather and they are so comfortable! I know that I will have these forever! Definitely a classic style and great boot!

Awesome boots- If you like the look of Frye, you will love this lighter version- it's not brown or red like other manufacturers' version of brown boots, but a really great saddle-brown. Goes with everything.

Beware... Addictive Boots!!!! Oh my... I don't think that I have taken these boots off since I got them. Delicious leather and color. I got the gold ones. I am truly addicted to them; they feel like slippers they are so comfortable. I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9 and I got an 8 1/2. They are perfect in every way.

Frye Harness Boot- Like the others, I needed a smaller size in this boot. I don't like my shoes to fit tight at all, but these were too big- probably a half size. They are very comfortable (not what I expected) and I have received many compliments on the look. They are well made and durable. Sundance does offer these for more $$, but they are the harness buckle boot which costs more at Zappos too- although Zappos is cheaper and the free shipping and customer service can't be beat! I LOVE ZAPPOS!!!

Frye Harness- I loved Frye boots in the 70's and was worried the quality would not be the same. I was wrong, they still "ROCK". The leather although stiff at first, softens over time into a boot that fits like a glove over your foot. Not too wide, not too narrow, just right!!!

Incredible! I am the type of girl who loves her pointy toed 3" heel, but this boot is BETTER! Comfort goes hand in hand with awesome cool style. I can walk all over NYC in these boots and I feel like I am walking on air. They run perfectly sized... I am an 8 and I bought an 8. I wear them with everything and they are NOT so high at all (the heel is perfect). Wish I could sleep in these but my boyfriend would toss me out of bed so fast. Oh, thank you Zappos for getting these to me in just 2 days... LOVE YOU!!!!!

Too Cool... I love these boots. They look sexy and stylish. I wear an 8.5 B, ordered an 8.5 B, and they fit perfectly. I love the look of a boot cut or cropped jean, girly blouse and "tough" boots... and these do it. Can't wait to hop on a Harley this spring to take these Frye’s for a cruise.

Too Cool! These are the perfect boots! Sexy, trendy and classic all wrapped up into one boot. The sizing runs a bit big however, so go a half size down at least. These look great with skirts, jeans, you name it.

Very Sexy, Very Comfy- When I pulled this boot on, I immediately felt sexy. Although they're practical (i.e., comfy and durable), these boots are definitely sexy. They look fantastic with jeans. I am a perfect 9-1/2 across the board and 9-1/2 fit perfectly for me (they are supposed to "feel" a little big, as your heel is supposed to slip in boots, such as these or cowboy boots, etc.; boots should never be tight or even snug in the heel).

Well worth the money. I've got 4 stars for comfort only because I'm not wearing them a lot and they need a little more breaking in, but they started out by being much more comfortable than I expected. I ordered a half size smaller as recommended and that turned out to be perfect. I normally wear a heavier sock in such shoes (such as a Thorlos "Trekking" sock) so while the heel wasn't snug, it didn't slip around really, either. I have average-width feet, and the area where breaking-in was most obviously required was on the sides, so perhaps these do run a bit narrow. But I've only worn them a total of about 20 hours so far, and still, with pretty fussy feet, found them pretty comfortable.

I love these boots! I've been coveting these boots for some time now but watching Brokeback Mountain put me over the edge. I originally bought them in my size (9.5) despite reading reviews saying to order down a size. The 9.5's were too big in the heel and a bit in the toe. I returned those, ordered a size 9 and voila! Perfect! The toe box was a bit tight for about the first two hours, but then it loosened up and now they feel like they were made just for me. I had surgery on one foot after struggling with foot pain for years and now the only shoes that don't hurt my feet are Danskos. I can't believe these Frye boots are so comfortable. They haven't hurt my feet at all. Thanks Zappos for making shoe shopping so much fun!

Great Boot- I am 6 feet tall and have 11 feet. I found that sizing down did not work for me because I am a true 11. This book looks awesome with jeans; a true authentic boot that will never go out of style. They are a little heavier but a pleasure to walk in.

Best boots ever- These are the best boots I've ever owned. I've had the black ones for three years, and they're still in great condition despite being worn a lot through three New England winters. I just got the tan ones and I love them even more... the color is perfect. And they're comfortable from the start... no painful break-in time. I'm usually size 8 or 8.5, and these are perfect in an 8, so if you're between sizes go for the lower one. The best part is they'll never go out of style... they've been around forever and are always cool.
