Love these boots. Style with a bit of attitude! Easy to dress up or down. I have narrow feet and the fit is conducive with that. I would like to add that my experience with the customer service team regarding this purchase was exceptional. The first pair that I received had a defective right boot. Submitted an inquiry regarding an exchange. My submission was promptly addressed. The resolution went above and beyond my expectations. I have had good experiences with Zappso in the past but the most recent update experience has made me a loyal customer.

Best pair of boots I own! Worth every penny!

I am a comfort snob so I was a bit leery when I ordered these. I usually wear Dansko boots and shoes so this seemed like a big step. This boot was easy to get on, felt the slightest bit snug, and was comfortable on day one. Loosened a bit to make them perfect.I am POSITIVE your heel is suppose to move up and down when you walk. My foot is narrow and it hugged my foot. This is the type of boot you can have for a lifetime. I hate going out to buy boots every year because I have to. I want to buy boots to ADD to my collection. I have worn these two days in a row and both days got compliments from strangers. My husband even said "wow, you look sexy as hell". For that compliment I was only wearing a simple black cotton dress, tights, and these boots in black. I wear 91/2 and thats what I ordered. Side note: I also ordered the "belted" harness boot (similar) in size 9 for comparison. and that one was bigger. If you are choosing between the two you better look at those reviews. It is not the same boot.

These are fabulous. Very well made. I can tell I'll be wearing these for a LONG time!

I love these boots! They are classics and really well made! The leather is thick and the soles are solid. They look super cute with skinny jeans or dresses/skirts. They are kinda spendy but they will last and I think they are totally worth it. Also, they are totally true to size. I wear a 7.5 and I'm really happy with the fit.

I purchased these boots on a whim and halfway intended to send them back. Once I tried them on, I knew that wasn't happening. They are extremely comfortable and can be dressed up or down. Unlike some similar boots, I find them easy to put on and not too stiff, even the first time I wore them. I have several pairs of Frye Boots and these may now be my favorite.

I LOVE these boots! Based on other reviews - I am wearing them in over a couple of weeks, so have had them on 2-3 hours a day for the last week. The leather is slowly softening to fit my feet, and I have to say apart from some minor rubbing on the front of my foot I haven't experienced any discomfort. They are heavy - be prepared for that and aren't super easy to get off - need some yanking, but hopefully as they wear in they will be easier to remove. I've had compliments on them from my mother-in-law, friends AND my teenage boys so clearly they appeal to everyone :) I live in Maine so they will be well tested in adverse weather! Looking forward to owning these for years to come!

I have been looking at these boots for about two years and finally pulled the trigger! I ordered the tan color, and they are beautiful in person. The leather is a rich color and has some difference, but I think it makes the boots look even better! Every time I've worn the boots, they get a ton of compliments. I also like the 12R length is more a mid-calf length (I'm 5'4"). From Day 1 they were very comfortable and I know they will only get better in time. You can't go wrong with Frye and these boots do no disappoint!

Wow, these were so surprisingly small. I normally wear an 8.5, but I will need a 9.5 in these to even wear thin socks. They are pretty narrow in the foot bed and calf (they just reach the undercurve of the muscle) Leather and workmanship is great, color is true. But too small!

Great fit boot with quality detail. I have many pairs of Frye boots and this is one of my favorite. Does run 1/2 size bigger, I normally wear and 8 and ordered a 7.5 which fit perfectly.

These are simply the best of the best! I already own 2 other pair of Melissa button and harness but these are comfortable the first time on! I think there will not be a lot of breaking in! I ordered the charcoal color and they are stunning! Order your true size - wear them around without socks so the leather will mold to your feet - you will love them!!

This is a great boot. Like many reviewers, I have wanted to buy a pair of Fryes for a long time but was put off by the price. Let me tell you, they are worth it! I bought this boot in my normal size and like many reviewers, my heal did slip a little but in a boot it is supposed to do that. I also have a slight bunion on one foot and had no pain after wearing the boots around the house for about 2 hours thanks to the squarish toe box. Hurrah! Really like that this particular boot is made in America.

I love these boots! I've resoled mine 3X...last time he put a Vibram sole on them and it's perfect since it snows where I live. I can where them all day and be comfortable. Buy a 1/2 size smaller than you normally wear. I'm getting another pair in Black, have the Brown now and love them!

Ordered a 9.5 (my usual size.) Too small. Ordered a 10. Too big. Ordered another 9.5. Perfect. Moral of the story? If you don't find a perfect fit, keep at it. There is variation within sizes. Good luck!

I ordered both the 8.5 (my normal shoe size) and the 9 to compare - the 9 fits better, so for me these boots run a bit small. That said, I also tried them on with thick socks because I planned to wear these in the winter. Quality looks great! I didn't get a chance to test that out, though, because I am returning these boots for a different style. Frye's description says that this style "needs a certain type to make this boot her own". Apparently, I'm not that type. These were just too heavy and clunky for me. Nothing against the style in general, these boots just didn't fit in my wardrobe. If you are looking for an edgy boot, give these a try!

Like others, I was concerned about the fit of these boots. After trying on several pairs of Fryes at local stores (nobody had the Harness, though, or else I wouldn't be here!) I decided to try an 8.5 (my "normal" size) and a 9. The 8.5 was uncomfortably tight around the ball of my foot, and due to the thickness of the leather I had doubts about how much they'd stretch. Then I put on the 9. It was a Harry-Potter-gets-his-wand kind of moment. Perfect fit. So comfy I didn't want to take them off.
