I bought this same shoe 4 years ago. Despite the increase in price the quality has eroded and I doubt I'll have these 3 years from now like the last pair. Perhaps it's because they are no longer manufactured in Italy but rather India. The laces started falling apart after a few weeks. The insole doesn't prevent the ball of my foot from feeling the waffle pattern of the sole. They look the same as the Italian made pair but the quality is not the same.

I bought these for my husband who is on his feet a lot for work. They have held up well but he complains a lot about his feet hurting after wearing them and he doesn't think they are very comfortable.

Elvis - I found shoe to be heavy and not to have much in the way of cushion - primarily in the front - arch forward. Nice look though!

Not a durable shoe - I've owned four pairs of Tuscana's over the last six years. I keep going back because of their comfort and fit and they're not made in China. However, I will not buy another. The soles are soft rubber and wear out in a year and I've had the leather uppers separate from the soles. It’s an inexpensive shoe and you get what you pay for.

Arch-less- Bought the shoe for work twice a week. Have a desk job so was very surprised of the sole wear and my aching arches at the end of the day. Great look though.

Ok shoe, not spectacular - Overall, this a comfortable shoe, although bulky and heavy. It looks nice, but the leather is not resilient to much punishment. After the first couple weeks of wear, the toes are already scratched in multiple places. overall, I'm not all that pleased, especially with the previous great reviews.

Bostonian Tuscana (Style 22711) This is the first shoe from Bostonian that I am not really happy with. The shoe's upper has not been properly affixed to the sole(poor quality adhesive) causing the upper to separate at the flex point (ball of the toe) within 4 months of the buy(note that this is not worn every day of the week); I take it to the retailer so that he can have this fixed, but the associate at Bostonian tries to convince me to buy a new pair instead saying that I did not pay "all that much" (~$75) and that I am better off getting a new one than trying to fix this issue. Whatever happened to Bostonian's guarantee for life against poor workmanship/material defect? Is that all only lip service?

This is a decent looking shoe, but the sole feels like someone is driving the steel plate through the bottom of my right after four months of moderate wear. I like the way the shoe looks, but I've had to put at least five sets of foam inserts into the shoe in four months I've worn it. This is just to make the shoe bearable underneath the ball of my right foot. The shoe has some kind of crazy sole in which for whatever reason begins to feel like someone is smashing the bottom of my right foot with a sledgehammer by the end of the day. Given the price issue, I'm frankly shocked that it would be this way. Hence my low rating of an otherwise good looking shoe. Bostonian needs to revisit how they build the foot bed and issues and increase the quality of that footbeds dramatically before I'll be back for more of this kind of pain.

Disappointed - I've been wearing these shoes for several days and have noticed two big problems. First, after several hours, the insole is 50-75% soaked in sweat. And this is the dead of winter in Ohio, where temps have been ranging from 0-30 degrees F. The toe area especially gets soaked and makes these shoes very uncomfortable; it feels like my toes are rubbing around on sandpaper because of the change in texture of the insole. I am not a heavy sweater, but I probably sweat a bit more than the average man. Still, this problem should not exist. Second, these shoes are conducive to building up static electricity. Since I started wearing these shoes, I have been getting shocked many times during the day. Now to the positives: the shoes are decent looking, fit well, clean up easily and are built like a tank. They should hold up longer than the average dress shoe under daily wear conditions, which is why I bought them. I am very happy with Zappos service and selection, but unfortunately am not happy with these Bostonians.

Cheap shoe - This shoe fits great, has good support and is comfortable, but the quality of the sole and interior of the shoe leaves something to be desired. The sole squeaks on tile floors and has developed a ridge down the middle of the left shoe from my clutch pedal. The interior of the toe area also is completely falling apart. The shoe still looks great after 6 months and is still comfortable, but it's really falling apart. Other shoes in this price range that I've tried were much more durable, just as comfortable, and had better quality.

The laces are simply terrible. 1) The laces come loose all the time, so you need to use a double knot. 2) The laces are very short so a double knot takes effort. 3) The laces broke within 3 months of use. The shoes also took several weeks to start feeling comfortable. (They cut into your feet at the back of the ankle.)

They are the worst shoes I have ever purchased!!!!! I've worn them everyday for a week and they are still stiff and uncomfortable. I've never battled blisters before but with these shoes, blisters seem to be the norm!!!! Whatever you do don't buy these shoes!!! Zappos service of course was outstanding with super quick shipping!!! I am a Zappos customer for life!!!

Defective workmanship. Heel pulled off shoe after two weeks of use. My last pair of Bostonian shoes lasted almost 2 years. Something's wrong with this particular style. Fit and style were great. Problem was merely construction.

The previous pair I bought was made in Italy and lasted several years. This pair was made in India. The shoelaces started to fall apart the first week. After 6 months of wear, twice a week, the sole has almost completely fallen from the rest of the shoe. I won't buy this again.

Poor design - The design overheats the foot and results in the fabric above the toes shredding. This happened twice so it is not a manufacturing error.
