I am a 62 year old female with a bit of arthritis trouble with my toe joints. I needed something with a large toe box to 'rest my joints' as the podiatrist said. Hard to find in women's shoes. So I ordered these men's shoes for my very casual indoor/outdoor shoes. (Dog walking?) They work great - but I'm lucky to have feet big enough for the smallest men's size. Dr. Scholl's should have a women's variety of work shoe that is similar!

The shoes are good and this is the 3rd pair I have had in 2 years or less. The real issue is that Dr. Scholl's uses cheap inferior shoe laces. They start to fray in 2-3 weeks and will break by 6 weeks. I walk 6+ miles a day. This is why I get less than a year's use of the shoes. But I find this to be true of any brand shoe. I am hard on shoes! The non slip soles are good. I have tried Clarks, Timberline and others. All wear out in about the same time for me. But the Dr. Scholl's shoes are 1/2 the price of Clarks. As of now, when I wear this pair out (Spring 2019) I will buy another pair of these same shoes. Zappos service is the best.

Almost kept these but sketchers one. These were not as dark, Herrington 2 brown, and more burgundy than brown. But didn’t have a steal toe. Will look at this brand again for sure.

I've owned a couple pairs. Great work shoe, but not something I'd wear out. It's good for long hours on your feet and some walking. I've never felt like the soles didn't provide reasonable traction even in winter weather. All told a solid shoe, though the insoles do seem to wear out fairly quickly.

Found these shoes are a good alternate to more expensive shoes working in a harsh environment. They wear the same and take the same abuse before they wear out.

I'd rather have give it 4.5 stars out of 5, but it won't let me. These are good shoes, especially for the price. I have wide feet, and high arch on one foot, so a lot of shoes don't fit well and cause severe discomfort. And I've been through a ton of different 3rd party sole inserts as well. These fit really well and are quite comfortable to walk and stand in. The inserts that came with it are adequate to above average, as I hoped being Dr. Scholl's brand shoes. I got these in black at the same time I got some wide Timberland Pro oxfords in brown; I wear brown about 5 times as frequently as black so I didn't want to spend as much on the black shoes. I'll be honest, as much as I love the Timberland Pros, the half-the-price Dr. Scholl's may even be slightly more comfortable. Their main downside to me is that they don't look particularly fashionable. They don't look bad, just kind of average.

Laces showing bad wear after 5 days! Shoes do fit well, good traction sole. I think the laces are supplied by an outside supplier to the manufacturer. Lower quality laces. Shoes OK.

This is about the 10th pair I've had of these over the years, usually purchase in "pairs of pairs", one black, one brown. I could be delusional but I swear the brown ones always seem to be just a tiny bit more narrow in the forefoot than the black pairs. Not going to stop me from buying them, though. Also, my most recent purchases of these, this brown pair another black pair at a store, I noticed and appreciate the design change to the sole, used to be a deep tire tread like sole, this is more like square nubs that provide excellent gripping action without getting caught on carpets like some other slip-resistant sole.

The shoe is very comfortable. I'm on my second pair. The problem is with the shoe lace eyelets. They shred the laces. The pair I have now is less than a year old and I'm in to my fourth pair of laces. I'll buy a different brand next time.

comfortable = yes affordable = yes easy to order = yes quick delivery = yes great value for the money. sizing runs slightly large, especially after a couple of wears as the shoe material softens. jury is still out on the durability of the product

Happy with the shoe and quality of product. Only concern when coming up stairs the left sole make a noise as if there is delamination between the inner part of the shoe and sole. Just hoping it doesn't come apart in the future. As far as the over all product I am happy and satisfied.

So far they haven't fallen apart like the last pair did (side panels almost immediately began to decay and they were not made of leather - the leather portions wore very well).

The top of the heel is a little too low and even when tied tight, my heel pops out of the shoe and then crushes the shoe heel top as my foot tries to settle back in. I do not like the textured Harrington toes, but that is the only style Dr. Scholl's offers. The length/width size of the shoe itself was accurate.

While I've only had the shoes for a few weeks, they seem to have a reasonably durable leather that still manages to be flexible; I'm a handyman and am constantly moving, walking and kneeling and need shoes that move with me without binding across my instep. They definitely have a very good no-slip sole. However, the insoles that came with them aren't very good. They didn't have enough cushion for my feet. However, once I bought a good set of insoles (from a different manufacturer), my feet are quite comfortable and happy.

Shoe fits well and is comfortable. Soles need to be thicker and more dense if you are on concrete all day true to size

Style is great, they are comfortable and fit very well. However, the downside is the non-slip soles wear down rather quickly, at least in my line of work as a bartender in a restaurant. In 6 months the non-slip has completely worn-down and make them impossible to wear in my restaurant without risk of slipping and falling. Would not recommend for environments where a non-slip shoe is essential, they will not hold up. That said, still a fan of the shoe overall and I'm sure in other workplaces would be fine.

These are not as wide as they used to be. Looks like someone has cut down on materials. The shape of the sole is very different from previous pairs.

Bottom layer of heel came unglued after 2 days of use. Glued it back in place and it has held up for now. Like the look and feel but did not expect to have to make repairs to 2 day old shoes.

I had to go down a size and it still feels slightly too big. I should have just gone for the normal fit instead of the wide too, despite having wider feet. This is the second size I've tried ordering. I'm keeping them just because it leaves room for thick socks in the winter time. It's honestly a big disappointment though. I was expecting more cushion and a little more arch support from this brand. My feet took a couple days to break in the shoes. Not to mention they are kind of heavy, which I was not expecting. Walking around all day felt a little more tiring.

We shall see how long the lining holds up. Prefer zero-drop shoes. Not enough arch support.
