These are beautiful and the footbed is just as comfy as my Birk sandals, but the ankle is just too tight. For the price I was not willing to risk that they would stretch enough to be comfortable. Super sad to be returning these and hopeful that they get a slight redesign in the near future.

These are tight on my ankles. I really wanted them to work but they would definitely irritate the skin even with socks on.

These shoes were extremely difficult to get on. I wasn't sure that I would even be able to try them on to see if they fit. Even though I bought the same size that I always do for Birkenstocks, these did not fit the same way. Because they were as expensive as they are, I was extremely reluctant to order them but trusted the brand so I got them. Was not only disappointed but somewhat shocked because Birkenstocks have always been reliable. Am sorry to be returning them.

Unfortunately, these boots have a design flaw. They are way too tight around the top of the boot. I took two steps in these and felt an extreme tightness above the ankle that would eventually lead to pain if worn. Perhaps if the shaft of the boot was a few inches higher, it wouldn't create this awkward fit. Other than that, the shoe itself fits like a dream. Sadly, returning.

I really wanted to love these boots. They're very cute. I order my normal 38 narrow. The footbed fits perfectly, but the tightness around the ankles is really uncomfortable. I have never had that issue with any boots. Too bad.

Not as comfortable as Birkenstock sandals and not as cute as other boot brands. I bought them hoping for quality and comfort. They would have been just ok shoes had they lasted. But within the first 10 wears, the wedge sole of the right shoe completely separated from the upper part of the shoe. Unfortunately, I was beyond the guarantee period (1 year, but I didn’t wear them much before the guarantee ran out), so Birkenstock declined a return or repair. But they are clearly defective. I fixed them with shoe glue and wore them for about one more year, when the left boot wedge completely separated from the rest of the shoe. I’ll try shoe glue again, but honestly I’m so disappointed in the quality and response from Birkenstock, I’m ready to throw them in the trash and never buy from them again. And I LOVE my Birkenstock sandals.

THESE CAME TOTALLY USED AND DAMAGED!! I was especially upset bc nowhere sells these anymore and they were not cheap at all. these were so close to being perfect bc they're so comfortable even for my wide feet, but the band on the front was just cutting into the tops of my feet so bad I couldn't even take 2 steps in my living room. I've always loved Zappos over the past 20 or so years but it's really gone downhill. this is not the first time recently that I've gotten a totally used defective pair of shoes from Zappos!! (also from Nordstrom too!) I have no idea what's going on but it's fraudulent and makes me livid especially when it keeps happening over and over.

Fit and Size were good. But they had scuff marks on the toes, inside upper shoe and on the back side of the shoe. Not in good condition so I am sending them back and will try another pair. Frankly they look worn to me. I have never had this experience with Zappos.

I am a devoted Birkenstock customer and these boots are horrid! I couldn’t even get them on my feet! I don’t know what they deal is, but I was SO upset and frustrated just trying to try them on. I don’t need to fight with a shoe that much - regardless of how cute and supposedly comfortable they are supposed to be. I also read the reviews - I used the zipper…still couldn’t get them on. Returning!

This item is labeled as Birkenstock, but the brand that was shipped to me was "papillio." They looked the same, but something was off. Not as marketed.

Could not even get my foot in the boot. Needs a zipper or something to make top opening larger.
