The WIDE was not available, so I had to order the regular width; however, they were so narrow that they hurt my feet without even walking around in them. I returned them, but have not received my refund yet, as they're waiting for their "quarantine" to be over. Not a great experience...

Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review. I purchased in December but by March I was beginning to notice the insole was beginning to break down. I wore them for a few hours today and the bottom of my feet are very sore. I have been a New Balance customer for many years. I don’t know if I just got a bad pair or if my issue is common to the the model. In any case, money wasted. This pair is going in the trash.

First time the soles of my feet ever hurt after wearing these new shoes for less than an hour. If would be better standing barefooted on concrete. .

What have you done to these shoes! I have worn 608s exclusively for a few years, but these seem much stiffer and actually are uncomfortable. It looks like you have removed the extra cushioning under the insole. Please put it back. These used to be great shoes!

I wanted the tops to be mesh, and looking at the pictures I thought it was like the past 5 pairs I ordered on line. BUT these were solid leather, and the tops of my toes became sore and blistered when I walked, I could not use them past the first 2 days.

Toe tapers to a ridiculous point. I need a wide toe-box, and this shoe does not do it. To be fair, most don't, but the fashion Nazis seem to be redesigning all shoes in a move to force me to give up shoes.

I have worn New Balance 608 or similar for the biggest part of my 51 years and I had to order this last pair online because I couldn't find them in any stores around here. This pair is not near as comfortable as all of my others. I will never buy shoes online again. I should have known that buying things online are not what they seem.

I found these shoes to be constructed well. However, they are tight and pinch around the toes. Hopefully, after breaking them in, they will feel more comfortable. These are the first NB shoes that I have not been totally satisfied with. I have learned to stick with the model that I feel most comfortable with but I needed black shoes.

I got these because NB is, hopefully, temporarily out of black and white 623s. These 608s are quite inflexible and I walk at least 4 miles a day over 12 hours for work. Halfway through the only day I wore them the top of the shoes were digging into the tendon on top of my big toe to the point that the next day I'm walking with a limp to keep my old shoes from digging into it further. These are absolutely going back.

I was replacing a pair of NB MX608v4, which fit well, so I ordered a pair of the version 5 model in the same size (8D). I found that the v5 was markedly narrower than the v4, as was the toe box. I exchanged them for size 8EE, which matches the width of the old 8D, although the toe box is still tighter than I would like. It's fine if New Balance wants to make styling changes between versions, as those are noticeable from the photos, however customers should be able to assume identical fit if they are to order them online. Also noted that the sole on the v5 was changed and that the old v4 sole is now on the NB 624, another unwelcome change. I may have purchased my last pair of New Balance shoes.

I have bought this shoe for my son every year for years. The V number does change occasionally but they've never been terribly different from each other. This time the shoe was not leather!! What a disappointment as the fit has always been, and still is, good. I suppose I should have read the description more carefully but didn't because the I've bought this model for years. Shoes are not leather this time.

I purchased this shoe in late November and wore them very infrequently. I noticed today the thin rubber layer at the back of the heel is separating. When I called to do a return, I was informed a six month return window, no exceptions. Disappointed with this response given this is defective shoe assembly.

I use the shoes for work, but there seem to have been changes made to this update of the shoe. Arch supports don't seem to be holding up very well and the wear rate on the rubber goes quickly before you have to replace them with another pair.

Not very supportive for a leather shoe. I have very substandard feet, and only wear New Balance shoes. But they must be leather, and have a lot of support. These do not hold my foo in the correct position.

I've owned multiple pairs of this model so I felt pretty safe getting these online. Unfortunately the v5 is nowhere near as comfortable to wear as my old shoes were. Pretty disappointing effort from NB.

I usually get the 608v4 but it's was discontinued so I tried the new 608. The toe box was too narrow and I was not comfortable with the insoles. The D width was fine in general but not in the area of the toe box. I really miss the 608v4.
