I love these shoes for comfort. They wear like iron. However they squeak all the time. I have had five pairs over the years and they all will start to squeak. Even when they change the design it does not stop the noise. Nile plays dumb if you contact them. For me I am on my feet a lot at work and these are the most comfortable that I can find. The noise does become annoying. You would think that Nike would figure out how to stop the squeaking.

I bought these shoes twice. They are nice when you need plain black shoes. Comfort is there but are a little tight, so I recommend a wider size than normal. Also, the padding is good for comfort but make sure to keep them cleaned sprayed inside for they tend to absorb odors.

I use the shoe for football officiating and it does a great job of keeping me comfortable and letting me move. Also, they really helped in dealing with my back pain that I experience from running on uneven football fields. However the insoles seem to be a little too small for the shoe (I got a EE wide shoe) and it feels a little weird on my feet but I'm over it. From a style perspective I look like an old man, but hey, I can walk the next day so my back and I are cool with them.

To stop the squeaking...the WD-40 trick really does work! Pull out the glued in insole out...spray the inside generously with WD-40 and blot out with paper towel...put insoles back in and the squeaking will be gone. Never had to do it again but once. I know we should not have to do this to new shoes and Nike won't fix this known problem with these shoes but...they are so comfortable, it is worth the trouble.

Florida is filled with seniors who appreciate this shoe! The availability of a variety of widths is ideal, many people have orthotics or foot surgeries that need a wider foot and toe box. I have these shoes in every color, but the squeak is consistent in old and new pairs. THANK YOU to the person who said to eliminate the squeaks by putting talcum in all over the inside and move quickly about to spread the talcum powder around. No squeaks! It really works! I have these shoes in every color, great for walking the beach, walking on hard surfaces, and great ankle support if you tie them the new way!

Shoes fit my wide feet really well. Comfortable and a great value for the money.

I have bought several styles of shoe new balance, rock port, reebok, skeechers, you name it i tried them. I am a manager in retail and these are about the most comfortable pair os sneekers I ever bought. I was dissapointed at the life it's about 6 months every pair but well worth the comfort. And zappos had my shoes ou the next day and were at my house the day after that. They have won a new customer.

I've worn the Air Monarch for many years. I haven't been able to find a sneaker that is even close as far as comfort. As mentioned by others sometimes the shoe develops a very annoying squeak...anyone that finds a solution to this please let me know! This is the only complaint I have ever had about this shoe. Also, would love to know if there is a shoe without squeak that is as comfortable.

I have to say that these shoes are the best I have purchased they fit well and are very comfortable.

Everyone's feet are different, of course, but most Nike shoes seem to be tailor made for my feet. I have wide feet, so I order the shoes in 4EEE. These Nike shoes are comfortable but are also quiet even when walking on shiny, linoleum tiled floors, like most workplaces. I've had these for a few months now and they're still comfortable, but is squeaking a bit. Shoelaces do stay tied and not much wear so far.

A month after breaking them in they started squeaking whenever I step down. I've never had a pair of shoes do that before. I have found Nikes are a full size smaller than marked. I normally wear 8 but in Nikes I wear 9.

Good looking shoe. Cleans up nicely. Comfortable but heavier than anticipated. Used to more of a running shoe style/weight. Love the fact it doesn't have that crappy plastic look Nike has been putting on their shoes the past few years. All leather or canvas.

I bought the shoes for work. Be careful for slippery tiles; it doesn't have too much traction. Comfortable, good support. I work standing on my feet all day so it does a good job with that. Heavy though not for sports.

It is true what people have said; these develop a squeak that is almost embarrassing. Many people have commented on my squeaky shoes. Zappos return policy is useless as well, because the squeak doesn't start until the 3rd or 4th day of wearing the shoes. By then, they are not in brand new condition as you have worn them outside and to work for a week almost. Overall though, if the squeakiness wasn't there, the shoe would be perfect. If you don't mind squeaky shoes, these are for you.

I have not yet experienced the sort of squeaking I read about in other reviews, but I will give up some quiet for the unparalleled comfort of the Nike AirSole.

I wear these shoes to officiate basketball. I buy a new pair every year. Year one, I wear them on the court. Year 2, they rotate to my casual shoes. Year 3, they become my yard mowing shoes. Comfort and performance-wise, they are the best shoes I've found in this price range. As someone else pointed out, however, they are very loud. On the court it doesn't matter. But when I'm strolling through Target with cart full of groceries, I'm not exaggerating when I say that heads do actually turn and look. That's how loud they are. If you can live with that, this is a great shoe.

Most comfortable leather shoe I have ever worn. Wish they would make it look a little bit cool, even if they want to charge more. Drop the pull-up tab and add a red swoosh and you've got a cool and comfortable shoe.

I have been wearing Air Monarchs for jogging and casual use for years. Local outlets never seemed to have my model, or my size, or my color so one phone call and my old friends were at my door in 2 days at a good price.

True to size and very durable, wear them daily and last long.

Very comfortable shoe. I do a lot of standing and walking at work. With this shoe, my feet and legs are not as tired at the end of the day. Sturdy but not bulky and heavy.

This is a good shoe. However, this version of the shoe has been changed from prior versions: the shoe is not as high as before and it has much less support. Otherwise, it is a good shoe and full. The Air Monarch is really comfortable.

Very comfortable and fits well on large and wide feet. I have trouble finding shoes that fit because my feet are so wide. While I may admit that the look isn't exactly what I was going for, they fit and do the job of an everyday sneaker.

Guys these are some proper training shoes you can completely relay on. It lacks in style but the comfort level is unbeatable.

The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, but they squeak and fart with every step on every surface except carpet. People can hear you coming down the hall 100 yards away.
