Great shoes for me. They don't hurt my feet and do not make my knee and back hurt in turn. Good service and delivered in a timely manner.

A few reviews stated that these shoes are noisy. Easy fix - remove the insole, shake some foot powder or baby powder in the shoe, replace the insole. You will hear immediate results but you may have to repeat if you were skimpy on the powder. That said, this is my second order from Zappos and they have a customer for life. Perfect fit and comfort right out of the box. I take an 8½EEEE and have a very high arch. My size is darn near impossible to find in a store - let alone on sale. I have scored twice on this site.

I normally wear size 11 but had to get size 12.5 on these shoes. My doctor recommended these shoes to help alleviate my metatarsalgia. They were much better than all my other shoes. However, after about 3 months they began to come apart. I wrote to Zappos to let them know and to my amazement, they refunded my purchase price! So, comfortable shoes, not very long lasting but superb customer support from Zappos.

I'm not a good shopper and after going to a major shoe store and not seeing what I would buy I gave up. My wife said try the internet. Zappos popped up the selection was unbelievable. Great store, great service, a repeat event.

This is my third pair of the Nike Air Monarch IV. For these old and very narrow feet the size 14 fits perfectly. There is lots of roomy space in the toe box, plus I have always liked the "light as" air brand! My only wish for improvement is that these N.A.M. IV's came in a mid-top style and/or size.

I have been wearing these for 20 years. On my third pair and I put a lot of miles on my shoes. I have a very narrow foot and high arch. These are by far the most comfortable and durable shoe I have owned. Cushion is excellent, especially the heel and ball.

I'm on my second pair of these. The previous pair lasted for 2.5 years of mostly daily use. I should have replaced them sooner but even towards the end they still held up. Very comfortable for the price. Good arch support. Solid, even padding. Some shoes that are more expensive, to me, feel less comfortable.

I loved them. My pair squeaked so everyone knew that I was coming in the room. That did not prevent me from buying a second pair.

My favorite shoes. 16th pair I've purchased. I buy a new pair every year, keep a working pair and donate the rest. I'm always trying on other shoes but nothing feels as good as these in 10 wide.

I had put in a review for this sneaker, bought back in March 2013, and I wanted to update it but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that, so this is a second review with some tips for those suffering the common squeaking issue. There are some videos on youtube that disassemble these sneakers to show you where the problem areas are. Basically, there's a couple of factors. One is that the glue on the bottom of the air pillow (which goes from the heel up to around the ball of the foot) deteriorates and causes it to rub against the rubber bottom it's attached to. I think this one may be a little less common, though. The issue I had, and I suspect this one is more common, is there is glue or something on TOP of the air pillow that deteriorates due to sweat and wear, and once that's gone it causes the air pillow to rub against the canvas insole underneath the foam comfort insole. Fortunately, I was able to remedy mine. Here's how: First, I carefully removed the foam comfort insole. The glue holding it in place was weakened through wear, so it removed easily without tearing any foam pieces off. After that, I found that the canvas that was underneath had begun to wear away in spots (heel, ball of foot). I was able to use these weakened areas to get my finger in and either tear or cut a line down the length of the canvas. Basically, I separated the canvas from the air pillow, then put the canvas back in place. Then I put the foam comfort insole back in and walked around to see if that helped. If it didn't, I took it apart again to fiddle with it some more. I imagine if you wanted to, you could add more glue (shoe goo?) or some other material as a buffer between the air pillow and the canvas and see if that helps. I didn't need to, and I wanted to keep this exploratory shoe surgery to a minimum. The ONLY reasons I went to this trouble was because I really like how they look (I have the red/white/black) and they are very comfortable. If these two factors weren't satisfactory, then I would have returned them long ago. These shoes do get a lot of complaints about this flaw, though, and a quality product really shouldn't suffer this issue so broadly. But for those of you who have them or don't mind having to compensate their low cost with a little homemade fixing, they're worth considering. If you want something that is going to have absolutely no issues from the time you first open the box to the time they fall apart off your feet, and you can get that for $60-90, you may as well pass on the Monarch IV. Maybe we'll get lucky and if Nike makes a Monarch V they will eliminate this noisy materials flaw.

These shoes are horrible. The size is about .5 too small and they are just uncomfortable as can be. Set the money you were going to spend on fire and at least get some heat out of it.

It's difficult to find shoes larger than men's size 13 in most stores. Since we found Zappos, our problem is solved. This shoe fits great. It's also nice to be able to have a greater selection of styles to choose from. Customer service at Zappos went above and beyond to help us. Thanks.

This is the third pair of Monarch IV I have bought. They fit well, they are comfortable and wear well.

They can squeak, but that can be fixed by lifting the insole and pouring a liberal amount of baby powder in the shoe. Otherwise they fit great, and look decent.

Ordered these for my son who works in a restaurant. Comfortable and arrived the next day. Amazing service, Zappos is the best!

I have a size 13 - 4E. These are the only sneakers available that I can find that lasts a long time.

I have been wearing these shoes for years. Like the other reviews - super comfy, last a while, run a bit wide and tru to size (my 13 is a perfect fit), good for sports overall BUT get very loud after a month or two (sometimes right away) with the squeaks and farts. Dexter couldn't wear these. :)

Very comfortable and cushy. Much better than several other shoes I tried in the upper range. I normally wear a 12 1/2 and needed a 13 in these. I don't have wide feet, but had to get the 4E because the normal width are far too narrow for any normal-width foot. I've tried a zillion shoes trying to get something that's very cushy for standing a lot, and at this price, I have not found anything close to this shoe.

I did not know until a few years ago that Nike made wide shoes. And along with great arch support, I am very pleased. Not to mention the nice price and usual Zappos excellent service.

I am a letter carrier and have been using this same shoe for several years. I walk almost 13 miles a day on my route so I can am most qualified to attest to the fact that these shoes are superior in quality and comfort.

The cushioning and build quality seems really good on these shoes, but they are relatively pointed in the toe, even in the size 4E I ordered. I have nearly rectangular feet, and they put undue pressure on my toes. If your feet are narrower, give them a try, but if wide in the toes, check elsewhere. I really liked how they felt in the heel when walking around, but can't wear shoes that blister my toes.

I've been buying Air Monarchs for over 10 years now and they are the most comfortable athletic shoe I've ever worn and would be my first choice for lots of walking, jogging, crosstrainer style workouts, and general wear. My feet get sore pretty quickly and while these shoes don't miraculously make them all better no others I've worn have been as comfortable over longer time periods -- A+. Currently have an all white pair but have wanted this color scheme but couldn't find it in the wide width till now. Can usually find these shoes on sale at local stores but when I saw Zappos had the wide width just went ahead and bought.

Good shoe. A little bit larger than size. Good quality. Smoother sole is a good fit for military drill and ceremony for my 14 year old.

Exactly what I wanted and very quick delivery! I find that online shoes are a bit smaller than what you find in the store. don't know why. These were just about spot on right and should break in to the "right" size. This Nike Air Monarch is the only shoe I look for anymore. Best for arch, width, and toe comfort. Thanks Zappos!

My husband really likes these shoes. He now has two pairs--one for gardening and one for church. He has neuropathy and other foot pains, and he likes the feel of the Air.
