Disappointing for Brooks! The tongue on these shoes is weird. Too short and narrow. And they arrived with a dirt smudge on the toe. Kind of important for white shoes.

I ordered several shoes to determine best size and width for me. The Revel 8 was good for size and width and color, but had a strange tongue and because other styles worked better, I am returning this one.

Loved most everything about the shoe except the ridiculously shaped and too short tongue. No way to use the last two lace holes without laces slipping off the tongue. Stupid mistake by Brooks. Have loved Brooks for years. But last pair of Ghost 16 were too sloppy in toes area so tried another style. Liked the Glycerin 23, but too squeaky walking indoors. I would have returned the Revel 8's due to the tongue issue, but decided to live with it rather than keep shopping.
