The shoe felt narrow for size 4E width. I particularly noticed it felt quite tight across my instep.

I have been wearing Brooks Beast for maybe 30 years. I started wearing them when I was a nurse on my feet all day. Now I am retired and I am still wearing them all the time. Some years were better than others, but this one is a winner. Very good fit, lots of support, nice color and fabric. Comfortable from day one. Thanks Brooks for taking care of me all these years.

Works great, providing extra support with firm, non-bouncy guardrails. I am a person with a physical handicap, and in my case, this is used for daily activities as a polio survivor. I do not (cannot) run, so please keep that in mind. It is nevertheless a very comfortable shoe with the support I just need to add that little ease into my daily life.

I feel Brooks did a great job updating the Beast. I'm 6'3" and used to weight 255lbs. I had trouble finding shoes to walk and jog in that supported my feet without eventually giving way to foot pain. The Beast was the first shoe I found that consistently provided the comfort and support I needed. I loved walking and jogging in the shoe but felt it wasn't supportive enough when doing lateral aerobic movements. The new Beast seems to be a bit firmer for jogging and walking without sacrificing comfort. They also provide the lateral support I was looking for, though I have yet to put them to the test. I was looking for a new shoe to address my needs, then I saw the video Brooks put out on the upgrades to the Beast. Because of the video I purchased my fourth pair Beast, which I wasn't disappointed. Again, great job on the improvements I will continue being a Brooks customer!

Great. Love these shoes. Mostly walking, shopping, driving. Looking cool. 4E fits my wide feet excellent, and comfortable on toes. Stable walking gait. My arches are strong from Aikido.
