The shoe itself is nice. I don’t like the fact there seem to be no options to have “smooth” leather. I would purchase more as they are comfortable. Kept a distressed grey pair I’m happy with. Would like more options from Born as they are comfortable with wide toe box. My only complaint is with Zappos itself. I ordered several pairs of Born shoes. Each were shipped in plastic bags as opposed to shipping boxes. This pair appeared to be distressed beyond the shoes itself…the box was beat up horribly!! Several pairs of Born shoes that appeared to be in storage for some time…and, shipped in bags! Damaged In transport. When I returned, Zappos sent nasty email about condition returned. Turned out, it was the box they were speaking of…the very one damaged due to poor shipping!!! I have shipped several returns and ALWAYS return in pristine condition. This was on Zappos itself.

This shoe is comfortable and has been easy to wear from the beginning—no long break-in time. I bought a bit of a larger size to fit a cushion in the shoe due to an Achilles issue and it works fine.

Love these shoes. So comfy. On the classy end of casual, I expect to have them for a while. I would have ordered another pair after I got these but they didn’t have my size in the distressed finish.

I just slipped these puppies on to run to the bank. I was freefooting and they felt AWESOME! So VERY comfortable! I haven’t worked in them yet; nor have I tried them with socks on. However, my first impression of them was absolutely AMAZING…especially for the money I paid for them! I’m a hit y’all back after I work in them, cuz my line of work requires standing and walking for over 80% of my 8-hour shift!
