I really like these vionic uptown loafers. I ordered them in sand and they look nice. They are very flexible and so far do not have any weird areas that rub on my foot. I ordered my normal size, 9.5 medium width and they feel like they could stretch out a little, and may have some heel slippage but I'll update my review if that turns out to be an issue. They certainly do not feel tight. They are comfortable so far. I've ordered multiple pairs of the Vionic malibu beach shoes in size 9.5 and those fit me perfectly and I think they are comparable to those. I have flat feet, basically no arches so I can't do narrow toe boxes and these do not squish my toes at all. I have two other pair of vionic shoes that I hate: the cynthia loafers because they are very stiff and rub the back of my heel and I can't wear them even for a short period; and the willa suede slip on loafers which also are a bit stiff and rub my heel although not as bad, but the willa is a very long shoe. the 9.5 feels like a 10. I haven't been able to make those work either. Hopefully this is helpful if you've tried other styles and are considering this one.

The Uptown would have been a keeper - so supple and comfortable- except for band sewn across the top that made it into a penny loafer style. I have high arches and/or metatarso-cuneiform exostosis, and the band irritated the top of my foot.

Soft, attractive shoe... but narrow. Narrow along the arch, narrow around the toes. I was so disappointed as the arch support was great and the style wonderful!

These shoes were obviously defective. The style and fit were fine. The color rubbed off on everything. I tried them with socks and the color came off on the socks. I tried them barefoot and the color came off on my feet! I love the style and comfort, but I can't keep shoes that rub off on everything!!!!

I purchased these as I’m approaching 40 and having some feet issues. I’ve been to the foot doctor and special shoe stores and have been told I need a stable shoe with arch support, let me tell you, there are not many made for younger people that are somewhat stylish! These are very comfortable and you can not bend the sole easily. They have a great arch support insole so no need to use my orthotics with them. I’ve ordered them in the sand color and probably will get the gray too! I first got a 6 and they fit but were slightly small so I got a 6.5 and they fit and I can even wear a thin sock liner with them with is even better!
