I was looking for a pair of flat, black shoes that could be worn in both a work and casual setting and these Sam Edelman shoes fit the bill. The leather is so soft, with a matte black finish. Since the Mary Jane strap does go up a bit further on your foot, you have to undo the buckle to put them on. They won't just slide on like a loafer. No big deal but worth noting. The footbed is made from cushiony foam and feels so nice to walk in. This helps add some comfort since they are flats and don't have much arch support. I like that the toe area is squared, allowing your toes to not get pushed together. The transition area from leather to where the top of your foot shows is also a soft square shape thich compliments the toe shape. I'm truly impressed by the quality of the materials and the comfortable feel while walking. Plus they are just too cute. They came with a little story book sharing their company's sustainability mission.The packaging is made with soy based ink and the box is made from 80% recyclable materials. The box and tissue paper are 100% recyclable. These flats look and feel very high end. These are my first Sam Edelman shoes but they won't be my last.

These are absolutely the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I have always felt a little unconfident about my feet since they are kind of wide. Once I put on these shoes, my feet look visually skinny and yet they are so comfy. They are true to size, I am size 5.5 and they fit perfectly.

I wore my Sam Edelman - Michaela Mary Jane flats yesterday for 4 hours in the afternoon and was so surprised to have a new pair of shoes that were so comfortable. I wore them with a pair of gray silk slacks and they looked beautiful and then when I came home and changed and put on a pair of jeans with a gray sweater and they still looked very great. The surprising part was the comfort, and softness of the leather which did not make your mail a feet sore like a lot of new shoes. Really like that you could buckle them to your comfort level. These shoes ran true to size not like other she's I have purchased. Good job!

I love these shoes you get it all with them style and comfort. They are so comfy that I have forgotten to take them off when I come in from work! I just love them they are so soft on the inside as well as the outside, I definitely will recommend them to anyone!

These shoes are amazing! They are soft on the outside and are so comfortable. I can dress them up or down and it goes well with everything. There isn't much padding, so I just add a shoe pad inside and it's great! The shoe moves with my feet which is important to me. Everytime I put on the shoes I am excited at how comfortable and high quality they are. My feet are wide, so the toe area is a bit tight, but the shoe will stretch it seems like. I love this brand!
