Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)There are two thin layers to take out of the bottom of the boot so I could fit my orthotics in the boot. They have a cloth exterior and look very nice. I wear a 4E left foot. There may not be enough room for my left foot. I am wearing them around the house right now to see if I can get over the tingling.
A Cobbler told me a trick for my fat foot- remove the last two or more rows of laces and then string them up from there, but there has to be enough shoe there for them to be expandable. That trick has helped me a lot!

Beware! Sole is way too flexible!
The bootie was wide enough (4E), but after wearing for a day or two I developed a lot of pain in the ball of my foot. (both feet).
The fabric of this shoe is very flexible also (compared to leather), so there is virtually no structure.
(A podiatrist confirmed that the shoe was the cause of my pain and that a firm, structured sole is very important.)
