Zappo's shipped me these used. It was clear by looking at the bottoms they had been worn before, but what really gave it away was that the dark wooden heel was worn away in three places, showing white underneath! Someone had scuffed them a few times, wearing off the wood. I tried to try them on regardless, just to see if I liked the shoe (in which case I would request an ACTUAL NEW pair). I don't know who designed these shoes, but I could not even get my small 6.5 foot into them and get the strap around my ankle! I have skinny matchstick legs, so this was a shock. I've never NOT been able to fasten a clasp around my ankle. The entire fit was so strange I told the customer service lady they must have been designed for aliens and not human feet. I can't take a pic because I already boxed and taped them up for return to UPS tomorrow. Extremely disappointed with Zappo's. Watch out for previously used shoes being shipped to you under the auspices of being new! :-( This was one of the first orders I've ever made with this company. I am wary to try them again. I think DSW or Nordstrom will be my go-to shoe place.
