This is my first pair of Danskos. For reference, I typically wear a size 7 and although my feet are on the wider side, regular width shoes will usually fit me just fine, with the exception of pointy toes and other generally skinny/narrow styles. Based on other reviewers’ reports that these shoes run large, I ordered both a 37 (usual size) and a 36 for comparison. The toe box is roomy, which I like, and both sizes fit me well in the toe area. The ankle strap is adjustable, but only to an extent. I have “sturdy” ankles, and even I find the ankle strap to be a bit loose on its tightest setting. The smaller size 36 fit a little better around my ankles, however, the footbed on the 36 was a bit too short for me. The length on the 37 is a perfect fit. I ended up keeping the 37 (my usual size) and returning the smaller size, even though the ankle strap isn’t a perfect fit. After wearing them around for a bit, I found I actually like the slightly looser positioning of the ankle strap — it secures the shoe without rubbing or digging in. These shoes are lightweight, comfortable, and well made. I live in the city and walk a LOT, so I need shoes that are comfy and durable. I’m confident these will do the job, plus they’re pretty cute!

This is a very cute shoe. I felt it was 1/2 to whole size larger. Normally wear 40 and this felt a little big. And I might might not have minded except I have small ankles and I had to pull the Velcro strap far beyond where the strap should go. The shoe is very comfortable however I don’t think it’s meant to wear for an 8 hour shift on your feet. It’s has a nice wide to box but not enough support for a work shoe. So as much as I wanted to keep this shoe I had to send it back. I did reorder in a 39 and fits perfect but since I wanted it for work I really don’t think there’s enough support for me to keep. I am older so 30 years ago these would be great!!My old body needs a little more support.

This is for chubby feet only!!! There is a lot of height to this shoe, my slim feet were swimming in these. Too bad, cute style

I’m so sad these shoes didn’t work. They are really cute and toe space was perfect for me. But the strap was too loose and made the shoe feel floppy. The back strap didn’t even touch my foot even though it was the perfect length and I have bigger ankles. The arch also dug into the side of my foot and I didn’t think I could deal with that long enough to try and break it in.

The fit is great! I love these shoes they are a great pair of every day shoes but can still be sophisticated
