These shoes are open to the elements mid sole. At the arch of the sole, there is only a metal looking mesh. Air, water, and dirt can enter the shoe easily. This may be fine if these are only worn inside, but if you have to wear them outside, even just from your car to the gym door, you need to hope the ground you walk on is clean and dry. Here in the PNW, these shoes are not practical.

These are easily the best trainers I've ever owned. I've tried many brands, but these stand out for exactly what they're designed to do. The ventilation is excellent, keeping your feet cool, and the overall construction feels very solid.
They're clearly built for HIIT and weightlifting, so I wouldn't recommend them for running. Light, occasional jogging is fine in a pinch. The toe box is flexible and allows full range of motion without any discomfort or restriction. Despite their sturdy build, they're surprisingly lightweight, which makes them great for long training sessions. I highly recommend them!
