Shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I've had multiple pairs of Thorogoods shoes in the past so I figured I'd be good trying these. They did not disappoint. I noticed another reviewer claiming they felt a half size small, so I ordered 11 instead of my normal 10 and 1/2, they fit perfect. When I'm ready for my next pair of safety shoes I would definitely buy these again.

It's a bit tighter than expected. The synthetic material from which it is made is dense and rigid which may add longevity but certainly makes the boot difficult to break in. I selected mid-high tops and composite toe for safety and that paid off on my first day of work. I was concerned the "all terrain" sole would lack traction upon concrete floors but was pleasantly surprised they have excellent traction. I have worn them one week and they remain very stiff and lack padding in the toe causing pain in my toes.

These boots look and feel great on my feet. They are a bit on the heavier side, but not overwhelming. I wear them for an 11 hour work day and no issues with discomfort the entire time. They run hot, likely because they are waterproof.

I ordered a size with medium width thinking it will fit, but I had to return and get an extra width with the same size. The size number is true to the number. The shoe looks and built solid, it felt a little rigid on the first day and even after couple of days wearing it. Think it needs little extra time to break in the new shoe feel. Overall I feel comfortable and wish there was a little more arch support but this works for my needs.
