- The SAS® Step Plus Comfort Insole is an everyday comfort insole that supports the arch, cradles the heel, and helps eliminate overall foot pain. It is made with Everbounce, a material used to enhance shock absorption. This footbed contains an extra soft midsection designed to provide additional support to the metatarsal area, as well as a moisture control system which helps wick away moisture. Its Contoured polyurethane base features arch support and heel cup, while the Vy-Gel performance grade elastomer pads provide shock absorption across the forefoot and heel strike, to protect against fasciitis (heel pain). It has a metatarsal rise that helps relieve pain in the ball of the foot, as well as pain from certain medical conditions. Machine washable, this padded insole features anti-friction fabric that wicks moisture away from the foot, reducing heat and shear to prevent blisters.

Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)
SAS in one of a few shoe makers with 1/2 sizes up to 15. I find that 14 1/2 narrow fits perfectly; other brands I would need size 15 and shoes feel too big. To help with the moderate arch support, I purchased a SAS insole insert at that same time, (also available in the 14 1/5 size) and that improves the overall comfort. At over $40, it is expensive; buyer should make sure it is necessary.
