I have worn mizunos for 15 years and these shoes are different. They were tight by my ankle bone on both sides. They also have a rubber slip on feature that I did not love. Well constructed, as always, but just not as comfortable as the former wave styles.

Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)

These shoes look great, and when you put them on for the first time, they feel so comfortable. But after 2 practices, these hurt and dig into your skin to the point of not being able to play. My daughter rolled her ankle because she was trying to walk gingerly as they were digging into her sides hurting. Other reviews complained about similar issues. Momentum 2 was such a great shoe, we had high expectations for this one, but it was a letdown.
