I was attracted to the sleek profile, particularly the heel area which is straight rather than flaring towards the back. I ordered a full size larger than my usual shoe size based on the reviews which turned out to be a good decision. It fits well and I initially found be very supportive but after a while it just felt too snug and when I took off the socks (medium weight that I would typically wear) I had the mesh imprint across my foot and along the side of the heels. Too bad, back it goes.

The consensus seems to be that this shoe is sized small and one needs to order 1/2 size up. I did so, and the shoe fit well - until I wore it and the knit stretched out. Now my feet are sliding all over in the shoes no matter how tight I tie the shoe strings. I got these shoes for the ankle support, but it does no good when my heel doesn't stay where it belongs. Very frustrated. I've had Mizuno Wave Inspires for years. And, of course it's past the 30-day return policy for running shoes, so I'm stuck with them.

I bought this shoe based on another review of how it helped with their knee pain. I suffer inside knee pain from improper tracking and it really sidelines my running. I know this will sound un believable, but I've had no knee pain since wearing these shoes. They're cushioned enough for comfort , and my knee tracking has improved. (I'm a forefoot striker, not heel striker). I love these shoes!!!

These are super comfortable and offer above average arch support, but I need motion control shoes and on their own they don't quite provide enough arch support to work for me. With the custom orthotics I had made at my podiatist's replacing the insole that comes with them, they're perfect! Orthotics from the store didn't cut it. Great simple style I'd wear with a business casual outfit or to the gym. I tried New Balance, Asics and ON shoes and none of them quite made the cut for style, arch support or size. BTW I have a narrow foot as well, so the C width was the narrowest option, and it worked for me. Others had mentioned in reviews that these ran a little narrow in the mid to heel area. Plenty of room in the toe box to be comfortable without being sloppy.

The footbeds are comfortable. I ordered the wide but they are too tight in the toe box. Also the laces are really short. I will be returning.

I love my Mizuno Wave Inspire 15 shoes and needed a new pair so i ordered these and was so incredibly disappointed. They completely changed the look and feel of this shoe. the tongue has no cushion and digs into your foot painfully. The toe no longer has any protection or support. They are also more narrow and cut into the edges of my foot. If you are looking to replace your Wave inspire 15s, AVOID these shoes.

This could be a good running shoe if you do well with a curved back heel. For me the arch support was good and it was very comfortable until I walked. Once I was moving the back of heel immediately started to rub too much and I knew it wouldn't work for me. I also didn't particularly like the wave design, at least in the black and white. The white wave part is wider than the rest of the sole and it's just too noticeable. I also considered the Saucony Triumph (felt great with best arch support and cushioning, but too unstructured especially around ankle; strangely felt too large); the Saucony Xodus IOS (good choice for trail running but too stiff for me for walking and jogging); and the ASICs L-Nimbus® 22 (ended up choosing these for best support, good cushioning, and good arch support - did have to size up a half size for best comfort, which I did not need with the other shoes).

After 2 months of trying to break in the shoe so I won't get blisters I am done. They are comfortable fit. Running 3-5 miles daily unable to wear without getting major blisters on heels. For the price I am not impressed with fit.

First time I've tried Mizuno. The length fit well, I liked the feel of the arch support. I did return because I felt the heel was a bit loose and it was a squishy feel overall. If they were cheaper I would have kept them to try them out on a run, but for the price I didn't want to risk it.

The reviews are correct and this version runs a half a size smaller than previous models. I have worn Mizuno Waver Riders for the last 15 years and have always just gone up half a size from my normal shoe size which is typically for running sneakers. This is the first time I have ever had to up even further. I went up a full size in this model.

Like everyone else wrote in the review, Waverider 23 fits significantly tighter and narrower than Waverider 21 and 22. I have a pair of Waverider 21 size 6.5 as well as a pair of Waverider 22 size 6.5. I absolutely loved 21 that was true to my size, but then I realized how much tighter 22 was after getting blisters on both of my pinky toes after running a half marathon. Not sure what they were thinking to make 23 (this one) even tighter and narrower! I bought size 7 to go a half size up, but I am returning this because they are still way too tight.

By far the best stability shoe I've run in. The new midfoot lacing eyelet adds additional lockdown and arch support. These align my heels perfectly and prevent the arch from sagging. Cushioning is spot on. Plush, not mushy, yet firm and responsive. Feel astonishingly light for a stability shoe. Don't change anything Mizuno!

Had to return this shoe. It did not have enough support and the insole had bumps on it. There was no packing slip in the box and it was difficult to get someone on the phone for a return number. It cost $29.95 to return the shoes.
