The heel is not adjustable and is slightly stretchy to allow easy on and off. Check out the product video to get a full tour of the shoes and their features, including the heel :-)

I purchased this shoe to replace the very old pair of Propet my husband had been wearing. I actually purchased a black and a brown pair. As a surprise, I hid his old pair and put the new pair in their place. He put them on and wore them for quite a while until I finally confronted him about the shoes and he was surprised to know they were a new pair. That shows just how good a fit the shoes were. I bought these for my son in-law. He suffers with diabetes and his toes hurt with enclosed shoes. He has to wear enclosed shoes to work but wanted sandals for home. He wears a 9 in enclosed shoe but the 9 in the sandals was about a half size too long for him. He needs DD wide shoes so I got him the 3 wide. The minute he put them on he loved him, he said they felt so good, He said it had good support and was so light weight that he didn’t want to take them off. I offered to return them and get a half size smaller and he said no way, “I am wearing them home. He loved the fact he could open the Velcro and step into the shoe then close the Velcro to the desired tightness. He wanted black but I can tell you the black is very very black. I found out I don’t like black sandals on a man for some reason but he wanted black.
